Good stuff. Very light and so far very effective.

good on f-secure for making changes. 17.x was mostly fine.

new onboarding experience is nice - gives you an option for a product tour. launching edge now changes the app status to let you know you can install the extension if you want. url detection stuff is more informative. i assume it's the same for other browsers, too. footprint is still miniscule since they changed from bitdefender's SDK to avira's.

    scans are still v fast:

also, if you have safe installed and install freedome, it automatically licenses it for you. that's nice.

Have a couple of machines with F-secure safe, but have not yet received an update to this new version. Can't wait to try it. :thumb::thumb:

I just installed it and it seems OK. Quick and simple installation, except that I had to remove HitmanPro to install it.

I just manually executed the upgrade check and it then installed the upgraded version. (Didn't have to find any upgrade files or do a reinstall.)

It does not happen here, but maybe the program is not ready in Norwegian yet.

    Yes, still same speed, performance.

didn't notice any slow down or any error.

Having 5+ difference license of other AVs, but so far, my system likes F-Secure a lot.

This AV is so good, so light, so simple, doesn't mess up any other apps like VPN or slow down my internet!

By the way, when you hit renew on the subscription and buy another year, it just gets added to your current license tenure.

Right click on the taskbar icon, click on "check for updates" wait for the F Secure "settings" page to come up, give "administrator rights" if necessary, then under "connections", click check now.

I did, but the only thing it updates is virus definitions.

Have you considered uninstalling it then reinstalling again using the latest installer? The new installer is like 100KB larger than the old one

Maybe this is the reason, my ISP provides F-secure safe, and it is on their site I download a new program, and maybe they have not updated the program. I will call them tomorrow, but the strange thing is that when I find suspicious files, they are sent directly to F-secure and I communicate directly with them via email.:thumbd:

    Salutations/Greetings,

Just wondering if F-Secure, can be use with Malwarebytes:)?
More importantly is there any know conflicts with other security
products. For example, Shadow Defender? Fast Boot, ect.....

    Kind regards,

Two realtime scanners not done, F-secure is strong enough, you could use Mbam as a second opinion scanner.

    • Advanced antivirus, anti-malware, anti-spyware, and more
    • Phishing and malicious link protection*
    • Ransomware and zero-day exploit protection*
