To be clear, that's the reason for releasing this latest version 1.35.2.

BTW, I noticed that when I enable Vivaldi's adblocker, it often removes blank spaces where normally ads would be visible. Why doesn't uBlock does this too? This is an example, with only uBlock enabled I will see a blank space in the top of the screen.

Then you're doing something wrong, maybe you have disabled cosmetic filtering? No blank space here with uBlock Origin...

Where do I enable this setting? I have always used "ignore cosmetic filters", but disabling this doesn't fix the problem on lifehacker.com.

Here is another example, Vivaldi's ad-blocker removes the blank space on top, while uBlock Origin doesn't. And BTW, I don't know what happened but all of a sudden I'm not getting to see the stupid pop-up that asks you to sign in on YouTube anymore, seems like Google finally decided to remove it.

@Rasheed187 I get the same results here as @bjm_
I don't know what settings you have changed or filters you have added.
Maybe it's time to start over and reset uBlock Origin to its default values and go from there.

mysterious, that "consent blocker" wont work for you.
try a new profile, install ublok and that extension and use the default config, not your current, seems that your current profile is broken or wrong tuning.

Well, then there is something seriously weird going on, because I have this problem on both my desktop and laptop. And for the record, Vivaldi's adblocker also can't always remove the blank spaces. Perhaps you need to use some kind of filter in uBlock? But yes, I will try to reinstall uBlock.

No need to reinstall, you can reset to default settings... in the settings of uBlock Origin.
Then update the already selected (default) lists and see if your problem is still there.
If not, problem solved. If the problem is not solved, I suggest trying the AdGuard Annoyances list next.

OK thanks, good point. Will try it and sometimes I wonder if Vivaldi's adblocker is slowing down website loading a bit. So I rather use only uBlock for blocking stuff. And you can't even unblock stuff with Vivaldi's adblocker, how weird is this.

When uBlock Origin got updated a few days ago, I switched Edge's Tracking Protection to OFF. Yup, OFF.

I returned to uBO b/c AdGuard was contributing to some CPU instability in Task Manager so I gave it a rest. Instead of adding numpty lists and reinstating backed-up settings, I'm starting with default lists, two enabled ones like I Don't Care About Cookies plus one import. I'll just deal with new content-blocking issues as they arise instead of piling on the lists. So far, it's good, very good. :thumb: Network filters under 80,000

that's a good approach. :thumb: which mode are you using ubo in? easy, medium or hard? do you have 3rd party scripts and/or frames blocked?

Hi and thanks, imdb: I'm not using any formal mode (actually, I had to look up the various modes to see what they involved). Is there an advantage to a mode over just using what little you've got already? I'm such a harmless browser and annoyances are so infrequent that I'd rather confront any issue as it arises.

Since you can deal with scripts and frames on a per-site basis, I didn't enable blocking anything like that globally but did enable the "Prevent WebRTC leaking your ISP address" in general Settings. I do like the Element Zapper, right? Indispensable even if you wouldn't need it very often.
