Would like to play with it, but run out of money and laptops! :D

Still quite pricey, but probably a nice option if you have quite a few family devices and want central control.

Edit: For that, there's Emsisoft Cloud Console as well ...

You could do what I did and install 20 different antiviruses on one computer :argh:

But at that price, it's too much for me to pay for an antivirus just to use on my test computer.

Or ... I think @Brian K uses TeraByte BootIt-UEFI to run 20 OS's on one computer (I have two Windows on my prime laptop, using BIU). :D

I'm not using any software, just doing multi boot with Windows.

I use it and quarantine does work. You have have to log in to the web management site and deal with them. You do get emails on alerts.

Is Sophos performance better than Windows Defender? According to tests it's about the same and therefore not light at all ... :doubt:

I would choose Defender all day, every day.

Oh, so it's not allowed to ask for performance experiences? I see ...

The best way to test performance is to try it yourself and see how it performs on your on own computer, as antivirus performance can vary greatly from one computer to the next. Or maybe you could message someone who has tested it.

You can probably use programs like Novabench to measure performance before and after installing the AV.

Very slow, very sluggish - I will never ever try it again. Back to Windows Defender, really fast compared to Sophos. :thumb:

I read somewhere that Sophos Home failed the EICAR virus test. Wish I could remember where I read this.

How is the performance and detection rate for Sophos? I don't see them join any test from AV-Test, AV comparatives, etc.

    Hi,

I used it for some time. Low cost and very effective.

But just a little heavier on the system.

Very simple user interface and performing what they are promising.

I just installed it on three of my computers and I like it. Not heavy on my machines and I like the management dashboard.

If speed is not the point, it is a good one.

Sophos Home free or Premium ?

I also have tested the free version for about 2 weeks on a laptop, works realy well, no performance issues, only i don't know how effective it is ... but ive seen a few video's on youtube with a good detection rate for the free version.

I changed my mind on Sophos. Went back to Defender.
