I am using Revo free version. I am interested in a specific function that only the Revo pro version has but not the free version. I am looking for a free uninstaller to uninstall programs not listed at all in Revo Uninstaller or in Windows Programs and Features, and also to scan and delete leftovers of programs that I have already removed previously (without the use of a third party uninstaller). Is there a free uninstaller that can do these things?

IObit Uninstaller can delete leftovers from previously uninstalled software. But in order to do so, it has to be software that IObit Uninstaller has in its database of known programs. As a result, it will only find leftovers from some software you've uninstalled and not everything. In theory, everything that is installed should show in Programs and Features. What is not showing?

I will just wanted to say, thank you for the reminder about
Windows Repair from Tweaking.com. :) I use a few times in
the past, and totally forgot about it. Until, you mention it
today. I use Windows Repair Tweaking, all on my computer's
today. I plan on running again sometime this week, just to
make sure that, I will not have headache's in the near future.:thumb:

    Again, many thanks.....:geek:

Hibit Uninstaller will do that using its Force Removal tool. I tested it this afternoon on some hard to remove PUAs and it was most impressive.

Thank you for the information. I don't know whether I am misguided about this and I can't remember where I got this idea from, but I do remember reading something about instances of installed programs not showing up in Programs and Features. If this is true I may have forgotten some things that I installed in the past and not used any more. I am also thinking of portable applications that make registry entries.
Thank you. This is a very useful. Does the Force Removal Tool find them by scanning?

I have been using HiBit Uninstaller for a while now. I have compared it to many other uninstallers and honestly, this one is the only tool that I can blindly trust to delete invalid/obsolete files/keys. Not once has it given me false positives or wanted to delete registry remnants or files that are valid I don’t know how he does his magic but this is one piece of art!

I also just realized and tried for the first time the junk files cleaner. What I like about the junk files cleaner is it only removes the cache files from the browser and not the cookies which most other cleaners want to clean by default which can be a disaster for me as I’d have to re-login more than 100 websites that I’ve logged in to before.

I also tried the registry cleaner and all the keys that it wanted to remove were safe to remove/valid so no problems here.

It is very rare to find an all-in-one suite that does this. I commend him for his hard work as this app is developed by one guy as a hobby and completely free of charge with no ads or PUPs.

@Spartan Yes it's an excellent app. However, I do find occasional false positives, which is why I check what it wants to delete. Having said that, if I find false positives and report it to the developer, he is quick to release an update.

I also don't like deleting cookies, for the same reason you mentioned, and yes, the registry cleaner is safe to use.

I finally got around to installing it. Next time I uninstall something I'll try it out.

At the risk of sounding like a shill, good to see HiBit got five stars via Gizmo's freeware. I don't expect perfection but I'll prob. be using it as long as it exists. If it ever becomes donation-ware, I'll contribute.

Happy to rewrite my previous seeming stall issue is indeed not and is not stalled at all but given the volume of files on the system gone uncollected over the months HiBit is proven very efficient.

Also went the registry and junk files cleaner route and I must say that i'm impressed! So much so that I think it just settled out a claim on my systems with HiBit as top uninstaller.

I've been using one I'd never heard of before. Chemsoft Soft Organizer. Found it while looking through a giveaway site a couple of weeks ago. So far, it seems to be doing fine. I've noticed with Revo (which I have) when I uninstall something, Kerish always pops up a message saying it has found leftover files. With Soft Organizer, only a couple of pieces uninstalled, no messages. Of course, that proves nothing, but I'm liking Soft Organizer so far.

Long time devoted user of Revo what seems like always but HiBit really brought to the surface items missed and completely verifiable using the Browse Registry feature. Not only that but against my usual decisions to play it safe ran the gambit and it turned up and cleaned a pile of residue which resided way longer than needed.

This topic turned a corner for the personal choice of a Uninstaller. That said it's not unusual for me to run an alternative just to see if another few items linger or not.

What are you saying, HiBit found stuff that Revo Pro missed with Advanced scanning mode?

Also btw, Revo has a sale, I think I got it because my trial license expired? Or my past license expired (pro license) not sure. But as u can see I get it for 2/3ds of the price:

    upload_2021-5-25_22-36-55.png

19 euro (with 3 euro VAT) = 22 euro for 2 years. Damn good deal. That said, if you can't afford even that (22 year for 2 years makes less than 1 euro a month!) then you can pirate it. But I won't go into that.

It most certainly did this first run from what I was able to gather. However I did not use the advance scanning mode if that's of some interest/importance. Activated (Checkmarked) Automatic.

Results matter and there's not a session or time that Revo is ever gave me pause. Even after running a full clean up with HiBit, the Revo is still IMO impressive. HiBit on this machine is still slower as I mentioned earlier in this same thread but that turned out to be the in-depth scanning and I mean there's a system chalked full of this's and that's which have likely settled for some while now.

Think i'm sold on HiBit. It's proving very safe as safe goes (I always backup registry w/RegBak-&-Tweaking.com)

Occasionally I've seen good mention of it but just kept to routine cleaning with Revo out of habit.
