Actually I din't have Anti-Malware enabled... Also I feel, that I don't need anything more, than WD with high settings in Defender- Control-..., and frequent backups.
Yeah, that doesn't work all of the time but as I mentioned in this case it did. That said, the whole time I've been using HMP.A it has only caused issues at different times and has never stopped or blocked legitimate malware, always only false positives. I doubt I will buy a new subscription when mine expires.
I feel the same, but that does not mean I rate HMP.A bad. It just does not fit my user profile. On my girlfriend machine it caused no issues, so I renewed the licence for two years.
It is regularly tested against new malware samples at Malware Hub at MalwareTips. But you need to be a member there to be able to view those threads. https://malwaretips.com/forums/malware-samples.104/
Thanks, It's helpful. We have sent an email and report the FP to Emisoft. Hope they can get it resolved soon.
Yes, it is. We have contacted them to resolve the FP. But may not be resolved until the business day...
Ah well that's a bummer. Time to bring out the tor. Otherwise the admin keeps banning my new accounts. He somehow even detected a chrome vpn extension (altho I am with same browser so same fingerprint, and I was using a temp email from https://temp-mail.org/en/ ) But the message when I tried to register was the same - you were banned for spamming (my ***). Their anti multi account system is really good. But can it beat Tor? (X) Doubt And when I made an account with my grandma's google account, it logined me instantly, it didn't say "u need to wait for admin approval"
In regards to WVX getting itself AV lab certified by a Microsoft Virus Initiative (MVI) member so that it can create an ELAM driver resulting in its ability to register with Windows Security Center, note the following. Such an AV lab exists within Peoples Republic of China: http://www.skdlabs.com/html/english/ . @WiseVector This message greeted me this morning. ...So, it has been [finally] rectified by them. Since, I have WWX running normally, I just deleted the exe that had been quarantined.
As I said above, I deleted it and the log shows that it was deleted at 8:49.32 am as per the screenshot:
I reset the heuristic level to normal and am running another full scan. The scan hasn't finished yet but no detections so far. Either the FP was fixed or changing the level solved it. Either way it looks like I don't have to worry about it.
Since they were generic detections, I presume it would be due to the heuristic level. Increasing the level will lead to more false positives.
Hi, Pro's for me..... Two really big pluses that, I like about WiseVector Stop X one no conflict with SandBoxie at all.....Really like this... Two, you can disable the real-time protection if needed. And additionally, run your favorite security software with no conflicts at this point time, so far...... For me....... Con's a few false positive from time to time. Along with the definitions beings slow..... And a scanner that scan items, which take good amount of time. a little slow, but, is okay, if check everything on one system or PC...... Keep up the good work, WiseVector
@WiseVector , The following detection it's a FP. Please correct it. "Trojan.Generic = C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\lkg_db\sample.dll"
