    Done.

Edit: I found the issue myself, I had to untick a default: Web Browser Trace>Mozilla Firefox Other Histories.
But I have to compliment the Wise Support, they replied immediately, asking me to update to a later version (I use PortableApps.com version which is a bit out of date).
I have reported my finding to them ...

I haven't received any response from them (cybertron) yet. Not even an email acknowledging my query.

OK cool, I will give them both a try, I really like the GUI of these Wise tools, very smooth and simple. And Wise Folder Hider may come in handy to protect files from unauthorized access, without constantly generating alerts like SpyShelter does. On the other hand, you should be able to whitelist certain processes like Win Explorer, so I hope they have implemented this.

That's weird, I hope it will work with Vivaldi.

All in all, nice 2 gb from memory dumps, thats what happens u OC ur cpu and then forget to increase the fans on cpu intensive games boyz

Whats more interesting is I have disabled memory dumps

    upload_2021-2-1_18-9-56.png

    Maybe they are old ones

Conclusion: I never need to use this again, likely. Old memory dumps cleaned, new memory dumps disabled. No reason to delete browser cache or thumbmail cache. And if u do, u can delete em from chrome settings or disk cleanup in windows 10. Oh yeah, and temporary files can be cleaned there too.

EDIT: Well **** I ****** up the attachments lmao. Anyway, recap was there was 3.14 GB, 1.9GB from memory dumps, 0.5GB from browser cache, about 0.2GB from thumbmail cache, and about 0.5GB from temp files.

EDIT2: Now I went into the settings (Windows, Browsers and Applications tab) and I checked literally everything. 723 mb to clean (after I cleaned memory dumps and temp files). The registry cleaner found 417 items, 0 kb. Thats how much space u save folks, 0 kb. Altho me using revo uninstaller pro for every deleted folder or uninstall definitely helped.

Thanks I missed that post. I have tested Wise Disk Cleaner and it seems to correctly clean Vivaldi's cache, so I think I finally found my replacement for CCleaner. BTW, I always monitor disk-space with this amazing tool called TinyResMeter. I also monitor CPU, RAM and network activity with it. You should check it out, it also works on Win 10, I always put it on top of my screen. But anyway, I remember that when I was testing Glary Tracks Eraser, it actually decreased disk-space, so clearly something was wrong.

Due to the way the registry hives are stored, cleaning the registry does not save disk space. When you delete registry keys, the size of the registry hives (databases) remians the same. You can save a very minimal amount of disk space by defragging the registry, which creates new copies of the registry hives, without the empty space from delete registry keys.

However, there is generally no need to ever clean or defrag the registry.

To be honest, it sometimes looks like Vivaldi is slower when it comes to cleaning the cache. Also, most of the time I want to clean other stuff like history and downloads without having to untick the cache. BTW, I did read a comment that Wise Disk Cleaner first needs to scan before it can clean, I didn't even think of that, but it's not a big issue to me.

I tried Wise Disk Cleaner and Privacy Eraser so far. They are just ok. Both do not seem to clean as much as CCleaner. I never cared for BleachBit so I took a pass on that one.

not so fast, spartan. you're forgetting r-wipe. and ccleaner doesn't stand a chance against it.
btw, you moved to the golden state for good?

That's what I've always been using. Best cleaner and has the tool to uninstall the stubborn Windows Store apps that don't have an uninstall button, one less need for getting another tool for that.
I live in Dubai but work with a company that sells custom computers in California, remotely that is. Lived in the US when I was 16 (GA), the best country in the world IMHO

I've had the opposite impression, just about every cleaner I tested was showing very aggressive results compared to CCleaner (sometimes differences of more than a GB). I trust CCleaner because it doesn't touch system files, I prefer a light cleaner, disk space is abundant, and computer speed isn't affected, at least on my computer.

I guess that is what I meant. I may just use CCleaner portable from now on.
