This Linux malware is hijacking supercomputers across the globe Kobalos’ codebase is tiny, but its impact is not. I saw a thread in MT comparing Kaspersky and ESET, and now I havent used ESET, or any av for that matter, but from the replies, u'd think ESET was coded by a high schooler that just started learning c++ Really, not even close between the two. And if kaspersky is the top (or one of the top), then how can ESET be one of the top too when it got absolutely blasted? From what I read in the replies, it's faster but also lacks a lot of protection features, making it obsolete. Because if you tune kaspersky for performance you'd likely get the same performance and still better protection https://malwaretips.com/threads/kaspersky-is-or-eset-is.105708/
ESET is one of the major names in antiviruses. While Kaspersky may be a better antivirus, ESET is not far behind. ESET has excellent signatures and is almost always one of the first antiviruses to detect new threats. Anyway, I don't want to turn this thread into a discussion about different antiviruses.
