No it doesn't and Dan makes no such claims on the VoodooShield website.

Tbh, VS is not even that good anymore. Kaspersky upped its game massively https://malwaretips.com/threads/kaspersky-total-security-kaspersky-cloud-security-free.105855/

And I really dislike how dan randomly makes update every other day, sometimes mulitple a day. Like sure that is great and all, but if you're not following the forum closely and downloading every new version with improved defence performance fixes and what not, you're ******. All those people that just use VS that they installed from the official site and that's it. In kaspersky (and avs in general), when there's a new update, u get it immediately from inside the program. But with VS u have to go to the forum every day, or eelse you risk using an outdated program MONTHS behind the current up to date version with all the latest stuff. And we saw how VS performed in MT december/january testing. Dan had a **** ton of new stuff that he included. But all those people using the officcial version and not constantly going to his forums, well for them it's all the same, until dan decides to update it months later with the up to date latest version. And because of how few people there actually are testing VS and providing feedback, as well as only 1 man developer, god knows how many things he missed out. For example, he recently changed the codebase to C#. You bet a ton of stuff broke, but we just haven't found em out yet. That said, VS is indeed very light.

Ahh AppGuard was mentioned here a page or two ago. I think to add it to my arsenal but I feel pretty comfy just running KIS.

Unless it is released publicly it is a beta release. We test VS betas to ensure it is as bug free as possible when released.

What don't you understand about beta tests??

It shouldn't really be used on a system where you are installing/uninstalling lots of different programs.

LOL good point. And now I remember why I consider it to be mostly anti-exploit, it's because you can read in the screenshot that the VS lock is enabled when certain "web apps" are running. In other words, it's mostly trying to block automatic process execution which typically happens during an exploit attack. But I don't know if it will also block software that's downloaded by the user themselves, I guess it will probably scan it first before allowing it on the whitelist.

    Nothing (defender disabled and obliterated)

Security programs slow stuff down and are a bother. U might not see it in cpu usage or whatnot, but as a delay when u do certain stuff. And yes there's light (but still delay) stuff out there like VS or Appguard, but they are a bother. So really I find no reason to use such software, for myself personally
