LOL thanks, strange that nobody mentioned this clearly on the Vivaldi website.

Weird that Mail isn't shown on the Start Page, while Calendar is. I'm not really into the sidebar.

Seems like you were right, Google did screw it up. After some more troubleshooting I discovered that the problem is related to the blocking of third party cookies. After allowing google.com and google.nl, it seems like I can now finally see coments again without having to first clear my cookies on YouTube.

I have pinned Vivaldi to the taskbar. When you start Vivaldi, it has another icon next to it. Is it a bug?

This still happens to me, even with a fresh install. Weird.

I think I also saw such a problem, it will probably be fixed. But do you guys really like pinning apps to the taskbar? I find it quite unhandy, I prefer launching apps via the Quick Launch toolbar.

I agree, always used to use Free Launch Bar (essentially Quick Launch Bar).
But kinda given up on it with my latest machines - just using the W10 start menu with some pinned apps (Firefox, etc.) ...

    Sorry, guess this is OT!

Don't pin Vivaldi to the taskbar. Start Vivaldi, right-click the taskbar icon and click Pin to taskbar. It fixed the issue here.

I didn't even know about Free Launch Bar, seems to be a bit more advanced than the standard Windows Quick Launch, which is enough for me. But yeah, I never understood why people are into pinning stuff, I hate it. The Dock on macOS also seems to be quite unhandy compared to the Windows Taskbar.

I really don't need this stuff, even though I do open quite a lot of tabs sometimes. But I believe they should be focused on other stuff. We need more bookmark sorting options, the stupid download warning should be removed, and we should be able to export settings to different Vivaldi profiles with only one click, to name a few.

it has little niggly issues and is slow compared to other chrome forks, but it is unmatched on its UI, every other browser dev has no desire to make a new UI, just all clones of chrome UI. I am using edge for streaming sites and vivaldi for almost everything else now.

What do you mean with slow? I see other people complaining about this also, but I don't see any big difference with other browsers when it comes to start-up time and website loading. However, I do always test it with uBlock Origin installed.

Seems to be a thread issue of some sort. Its an issue I used to ironically see on the old opera and old firefox.

But its basically slow compared to e.g. chrome or edge on same amount of tabs, if you only use low amount of tabs its full speed but with 200-300 tabs it bogs down a lot, and sometimes soft locks on a tab where it stays forever processing a request until you close tab.

However to be clear its nowhere near as slow as firefox was, its still overwall a fast browser, and I can easily accept it given all of the improvements in the browser.
