OK I see, I didn't really like the GUI of ConfigureDefender, so I decided not to use it. I think I will add either HMPA or AppCheck to my security setup, not sure yet. And OSArmor should indeed block exploits and more advanced malware from doing any serious damage.

How did you go, PTD? Any more pop ups from Norton yet?

No pop ups so far on the computer. I did get an email from Norton a few days ago.

I've read that some have had to enable Automatic Renewal before they could activate their keys.

I can't remember why, but I dropped Norton like a lead balloon in the early 2000's. Something they did where I concluded: "never again!"

I didn't have to activate Automatic Renewal. I bought the key from Newegg a few years ago. Automatic Renewal is still disabled.

I think that relates to their new Norton 360 bloatware.

I tried it in 2017 and again in 2019.
Just recently have been trying it out again.
Definitely a learning curve to it.
Apearently they plan on resuming development this year, according to their forums.

Must be. I looked on Norton's website and it looks like they don't sell the Norton Security Version that I have anymore. Now it's all Norton 360. I might be lucky and not get any pop ups running this Version.

You'll probably get pop ups and / or emails suggestiing you 'upgrade' to the new N360. :ouch:

I must be a glutton for punishment as I've just installed Norton back on one machine.
