Where have all the players gone?

I wonder that also. I'm missing Kaspersky, usually they participate in all tests.
As I see a lot of vendors pulled out after Q1 tests. I guess that there was something we don't know about.

Tight budgets due to COVID crisis would be one reason.

Absent in current test are Kaspersky, CloudStrike, Sophos, and McAfee. Aside from Kaspersky, the rest were ranked in the bottom tier protection-wise. No Endpoint AV vendor is going to stay in a public comparative where they rank poorly. That results in a $$$ hit for lost sales revenue for their "cash cow;" commercial software sales.

Indeed a bit weird. But I see that Win Defender once again did quite well, also when it came to the exploit/file-less test, seems like M$ has been tweaking WD. But features related to Win Def ATP may also play a role, this type of stuff isn't available in the Win Def consumer version.

When you use ConfigureDefender (High or Max) as consumer you almost get the same results like the WD atp.... That is a rock solid protection comparable like any top paid Av's!

Yes I forgot about this, so you are saying that with ConfigureDefender you can enable features that are not found via the normal settings?
