What a sad thread. Things I miss:
Kerio 2.1.5 firewall, Sunbelt 4.75 firewall=enhanced Kerio, Outpost firewall (I do use it on Windows7), Private firewall, SSM-System Safety Monitor, EVEREST Home edition by Lavalys, best looking and most convenient XP version of Windows Explorer, version 11 of ATI-Acronis True Image before they bloated it with junk (still use it sometimes on Windows 7).

It was/is Vipre. I think they still exist. And I saw it on Android googlePlay the other day. I never used it on XP.

I am still missing OSSS and Malware Defender. Glad that Comodo is still around and kicking and covering my back.

Surprised no one has mentioned Sygate Firewall. It was really popular here before it was bought out and disappeared.

I remember that I had shown 2 serious bugs in PG.
Very promising software, but there is a saying in my country.

"The big you are, the more noise you make when you fall".

Yes it's alive on my XP in one of the Keriver's snaphot and sometime is woken up :) Its companion is more than 15 years old Kerio FW v. 2.1.5. Normaly this firewall is working with SS Premium.
I should mention about Returnil/Quietzone but I regret the the most Online Armor...although the last free version (3.41 or so?) can work even on Vista. The secon one?...it's Threat Fire.
