I can't remember the last license I was given for beta testing HMP.A but it was over two or more years ago. Since Erik Loman has left I wouldn't hold my breath for one now either.

New setup: Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Windows Firewall Control (BiniSoft). Well, it's not really new. I used this setup many years ago. I'm currently using an EAM trial version to see how it works these days; I like it so far.
I still use OS Armor, Macrium and AdGuard for Windows (no changes here) alongside my new security setup. No problems so far.

 

Nice, I was thinking of using OSA as my secondary when I reverted back to EAM. Went with MBAE but didn't last long, now my secondary is SimpleWindowsHardening.

I need quick tests using the free version of NovaBench, and found Windows Defender the same as Bitdefender Free and now Kaspersky Security Cloud Free; Avast and AVG Free were the fastest, and had good ratings at AV Comparatives and others. Because I kept experiencing problems with logins and website settings not saved in Firefox with KSC, with a few more issues (like notifications of removal drive scans and popups advising me to upgrade or install additional software), I decided to choose from Avast and AVG Free. The latter did not have the equivalent of a blue dot in the icon, and for now no popups.

 

I still use XP because my pc where W.XP is installed is still alive and there is no reason not to use it.
It is not much work to protect the OS, if you see the back pages of this thread my configuration is pretty much the same, there are only small improvements.

I read in the previous post that you were thinking of using OSA, well even the latest version of this software can be installed in W.XP.
The browser I use has code changes on a weekly basis,
in the list below those made yesterday:

Just to name two examples.
Using XP still today, with my security setup, is perfectly safe as using W.10.
