Yes, it's $55 Cdn as per this link:

    https://www.faronics.com/cart-checkout?sku=54022

I trialled it about a year ago and found it to be very heavy on resources. When I ended my trial, someone in sales pestered me for quite some time trying to persuade me to purchase it, and I had to decline several times before he gave up.

It's a little pricey :) that's crazy for anti executable it is cheaper to tweak the system a little and block type of executables file for free:) or tweak the big virus tunnel IE to block all downloads in real time my 2 cents

You think along the same lines as I do. For scanning, I just use Windows Security provided in Windows 10.

I forgot to mention that built-in smartscreen also catches some nefarious stuff as well.

Maybe, but it mostly just means you won't receive latest software updates, which of course could result in buggy behaviour after a Windows update.

    Edit

so it's a kind of catch 22. If you don't renew the license, you run the risk of broken, buggy behaviour when Windows changes due to an update.

It looks like it has an offline scan method for this:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/rootkits-malware

The link I provided may not be the best source of information, as it is Microsoft, so maybe a bit biased. Honestly, I haven't thought too much about rootkits as being too much of a threat these days. It seems ransomware is the major threat. If you keep Windows and all software, especially browsers, up to date, use a good content blocker (think uBlock Origin from Raymond Hill), and don't click on unsolicited email links, you will likely be near 100% okay. Just my humble, blue-collared unprofessional opinion.
