    Hi Bellgamin

Oh Dear did I set a rabbit away.

Firstly let me apologies to CruelSister unreservedly for a badly phrased write up and also for your bad grammar. I meant no criticism of her or any of her comments, I should have been more careful. I stand corrected.

In terms of what you say about WiseVector and my comments there is some truth, but I make no apologies, neither for the comment about "Herd". Since when has it been wrong to criticise. You are a vocal member of this community and are never backwards at coming forward if you do not agree with something. I suppose it is about style. Nonetheless others in this thread have expressed reservations about WiseVector in that is a Chinese company (as I understand it) and some aspects of the program.

Grammar: look up Imply and infer.

Finally "Sowing seeds of FUD. Hmmmm..." Hiding behind an acronym - Oh Dear!!!

"....the view from Mount Olympus must be splendid this time of year." - About the same as from Hawaii

    Terry

What does being a Chinese company have to do with anything? No country has a monopoly on brilliant programmers, and being that China has 1/4th of the population of the entire planet, China is bound to have tons of good program writers.

Maybe because English is not my native language, but I dont think that @TerryWood needs to apologize about anything, his posts werent offensive at all, IMO he is the one that apologizes should be directed to.

I couldn't agree more Acadia, it is ridiculous to associate malfeasance to a company simply because there are prejudices about the country they come from. The same discriminatory stance happened to Kaspersky, guilty of being Russian.

Any AV used with HIPS, but being blocked by HIPS, of course the AV can't work normally. So I don't think it's a conflict.
According to your test, get WVSX whitelisted at first is the best way to ensure it can work smoothly with Spy Shelter.
    Thank you!:)

Sorry for the inconvenience. Since we want our users to upload the files quickly, there is no place to add comment.
If you want to add comment, please send the file to virus@wisevector.com. Thanks!
We have tested Dsynchronize (from the link you provided), it was not detected by the static scanning and WVSX still didn't flag it when running it.
Can you please right-click WVSX icon on the tray->click "Log"->Tell me the detection name regarding Dsynchronize. Thank you.
Usually, when you perform the first scan with WiseVector StopX, the speed will be not fast, since our engine will extract lots of metadata from files when scanning. The scanning speed will be much faster next time.

Very nice software with impressive results so far!

2 suggestions: add the ability to schedule a scan and, to be abel to update the program itself manually and separately. We are many that use program install and uninstallers for the sake of control over once computer.

Baidu has given up their cybersecurity business for Home User for quite a while. Qihoo is a competitor for us.
I agree with you. Taking part in some public tests which are conducted by a reputable AV test lab is effective marketing. We would like to do this in the near future. At present, we are very active to take part in the tests being conducted by some forums. WVSX performs good so far.:)

Thanks for your advice. We might add the feature in the future. If users keep Real-time Protection always on, there is no need to schedule a scan.
Yes, this feature will be added in our next release.

With that type of logic there is no need for a scan function at all ;).

Nice, looking forward to that release.

qihoo a competitor , you mean the vastness of their user database you mean? because total security is nothing more than a spying piece of bloatware. plus the fact that it whitelists chinese adware. stopx is nice product , thanks for being so active in feedback! ;)

If it's the first time installing WVSX, you'd better to run a scan with WVSX. But if you just use WVSX as a scanner, scheduled scan is necessary.:)

So you mean that Wise is 100% so you do not need a scheduled scanner, ha, ever heard of 0-day malware, for instance?! Something can slip by even the best product. A reason for scaning over time is because definitions can remove malware faster then a redoing of the actual program can be done. That is one of the reasons EVERY antivirus company has that possibility in their antivirus products.

A scheduled scan possibility is a basic feature that has to be present in a protective product, at least for the users convenience to feel certain that the product really takes CARE of the protection when it automatically scans regularly.

Sooner or later you will realize this, better sooner. Reconsider.

The real-time component is already continuously scanning, isn't it?

Although the founder of Qihoo is called " the father of rogue" in China, Qihoo is a large publicly traded company having a lot of resources, for example sufficient funds, qualified technical staff. If they really want to make a good security software, it would be easier than us.

Our Real-time Protection includs Scan running processes, Scan on file execution, Scan on file creation and Scan on file changes.
I think what you're worried about is that if malware bypassed all our protections, you need a scheduled scan to detect the malware after then. Am I right?
After we add detection for missed malware, there's still a high possibility that the malware will be detected by real-time protection when it is activated.

    So do other Av-protections.

    High possibility ;).

Well, you do as you please, i just suggested something that i think you will implement sooner or later due to user demand.

Anyway, good luck, you have a good product.

So many people install an anti-virus then set it up to do daily scans, that's a waste of time and resources. Thats why they have realtime protection.

On-demand scanning is overrated, it is a waste of time and resources, the only reason to do it is for whitelist files, so the system runs better with some antivirus after the process.

If you are infected you need to reinstall the system, change your passwords and restore a backup (that you should have made); you should not trust a system that was previous infected and then "cleaned" with commercial tools.

Back to WiseVector StopX, so far I am impressed, I only had one false positive until now and I am running it on my main PC gamer that have some diverse kind of software installed.

I have tested it so far running alone using Windows Defender Control and with MS Defender active, no slowdowns either way, no conflicts, and no FPs. After cruelsister's positive reaction I'm waiting for aigle's opinion. I wish WiseVector can find a suitable business model to survive in the long run.
