I installed 5.43.7 over the top of 5.43.6.
    It asked for a reboot.
All is running well so far.

    Hi @DavidXanatos
Classic setup offers Overwrite & Uninstall.
Why does Plus setup not offer Overwrite & Uninstall?
Plus offers Overwrite & Uninstall only upon seeing Classic.
    Suppose I want to clear out C:\Program Files\Sandboxie & C:\Program Files\Sandboxie-Plus?
Suppose I want to start over with just a clean Plus install.
Does Plus have a built-in uninstaller?
Does Plus clean uninstall from Apps -> Uninstall?

The classic setup is not aware of plus's existence and I would leave it like that...
The plus setup offers the flowing options when triggered from the control panel

    Hi @DavidXanatos
Okay, Classic is not aware of Plus.
Okay, from Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Change or from Settings -> Apps -> Modify.

I did notice Uninstall Sandboxie-Plus Icon with blue arrow and now I'm not finding Uninstall Sandboxie-Plus?

Version 5.43.7 running well on my computers. Some variance in the installation process, but no errors or failures.

First machine installed smoothly but I had to allow SbieDrv.sys in Windows Defender again (which I was expecting).
Second machine a couple of hours later had no problems and no protests from Windows Defender, but it asked for a reboot at the end of the installation process, which I did. No probs on reboot. All running good. All were over-the-top installations.

    Thanks David - you're a star!

    Minor issue with Version 5.43.7:

Initially installed Version 5.43, launch chrome, input an address, the page crashed. Open setting or whatever, all crashed. No page can open.

Reinstalled with Version 5.43.7, reboot, now pages came up. Looks good.

Machine hibernate about 4 times, and "slept" over a night. 3 youtube pages that were not closed previously work fine. However, now opening a new tab failed. Opening any new window under the same sandbox crashed like the previous version 5.43.

Create a new sandbox, run chrome, no problem.

Where can I find either sandboxie log or chrome log to find out what's the problem?

Any reason why this message appears when installing 5.43.7 over the top of 5 .43.6?
After pressing OK , it asks for a reboot and all is well.

May be you AV is blocking the new driver, that build has only very minor changes basically only bugfixes

When I first install just 5.43, i also have that message. Nothing work then.
Reinstall with 5.43.7, same message appeared, but rebooted and all well, though new tabs crashed after leaving the machine running continuously for ... so far about 2 days ...

    Tried to download "Sandboxie 5.43.7 & Sandboxie-Plus-v0.4.3 (x86 & x64)" & chrome blocked the download with a new warning,
" This file is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous."
That warning did not appear in the past until now.
Chose to keep the file & download continued without a problem.

AV on this machine is Defender.
General explanation by Microsoft for that error is....

There is a temporary mismatch between the requested control and the state of the service to be controlled. The service may be in a state of start-pending, stop-pending, or stopped. Wait a few minutes, then retry your operation.

I have no idea I havnt changed anythign around the legacy installer script for months.

may be, just speculating, wind 10 hides that by default to force you to use the modern settings app instead.

Why does my app’s uninstaller disappear from the Start menu?

I tested Release v0.4.3 on my win 10. honestly it was not very good. I had lot of bug/crash. But it's not important. I can wait. The tool is very promising. Continue.

I can't help you to code it. But I would like to help you to translate sandboxie plus. How can I help you please ?

@DavidXanatos - Ive been a long time SBIE user. Just installed your Linked XP SBIE. Elected to Uninstall my old non-paid version, but kept the settings. Then I came directly here. So far so good. Is there anything different for XP users to be aware of or do you update all versions together? Ive been following the SBIE threads to some degree and been aware of a bit of confusion since its gone open sourced, but it looks like these things are getting ironed out. Thankyou for the work you're doing. Im looking forward to diving in to the full version.

That's what i hoped for and what my local tests showed.

But U remember with an other change I introduced some builds ago that actually broke something despite working on my systems just fine. So I now rather opt to test such changes on a bigger user base before making them final for all.
