Still available at the Microsoft Store (as of now), apparently for the Legacy Edge? Didn't attempt to download it, eww. For the Microsoft Add-ons store, it's not there. Using just the word "Nano" in the search bar gives you uBlock Origin. :)

Edit: It downloads on here but trying to launch it opens Microsoft Edge instead. No SmartScreen notification. OK, enuff.

    "Online Malicious URL Blocklist".

    And removed "Phishing Army List".

What covers malware domains (and phishing) for you instead?

In all these years I have never seen UBO blocking a web page with malware or phishing content:
My pc is old, slow CPU.
Online Malicious URL Blocklist, it is getting bigger every day.

The cure must not be more destructive than the evil.;):thumb:

    Why?
Even if you have a million rules, it won't slow down your system, according to Gorhill...

And if memory really is a problem, you can consider buying a cheap refurbished laptop with 8 GB RAM and a SSD.

Not him, but the phishing list from ex-site host-file.net was much more bigger than than the hosts file.

    i am dealing with
    Online Malicious URL Blocklist
    Spam404
    MVPS HOSTS
    https://hostfiles.frogeye.fr/firstparty-only-trackers-hosts.txt
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/evankrob/hosts-filenetrehost/master/ad_servers.txt (ex host-file net ADS list)
    AdGuard DNS filter
    StevenBlack/hosts

A basic startup which is added by some other element filtering lists.

Guys, I'm having serious problems. Because of an issue with website loading on Vivaldi, I decided to remove and reinstall uBlock. But after reinstall I don't see any of the settings, I can't manage the filters, it's a blank screen. How to fix this, can I perhaps remove a certain extension folder? :doubt:

    Betray my trusted PC?
    Never is it !! :)
In other times, after such a proposal, a duel would have been necessary.:D

Raymond probably ran that test on a modern PC.
With my Intel Celeron M380 - 960 MB Ram and W.XP OS it would have very different results.

Eliminating the lists I have written is absolutely not risky for me.
    Thanks for the advice.

Have you tried closing and re-opening your browser?

In Vivaldi.... tools ( the V top left of screen) when you click on extensions and then details does everything look right?

I know how you feel. ;)
In the past I also had a beloved XP machine, but eventually it just gave up and I had to buy a new one.
I had it built with no OS installed and put Linux on it; it was blazing fast!
And no worries for malware any more. :)

Can't you add some more (compatible) RAM?

I would like to use uBlock Origin with a portable version of Thunderbird 78.3.2 and I noticed that element zapper and picker modes are not switching and nothing happens. I'm using the Thunderbird version from Github uBlock 1.30.5b4. Anyone know what the problem might be?

The zapper and picker modes work fine on my old version of uBlock1.16.4.4 on Thunderbird 52.9.1

@Brummelchen I thought frogeye list was not necessary with Firefox, which I think you are using?

UBO Build 1.30.5b6 is out, see if it solves your problems:

    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases

    P.S.

    Why still use Thunderbird 52.9.1?
It doesn't even support OAuth2 for Gmail, AOL, Yahoo.......:thumbd:
    Switch to MailNews.;)

    current status:

Online Malicious URL Blocklist: 15.649 of 15.649
    Spam404: 7.123 of 7.145
    MVPS HOSTS: 6.922 of 9.513
frogeye list: 14.622 of 14.622 - means fully used and no duplicates
    ad_servers.txt: 45.651 of 45.736
AdGuard DNS filter: 22.347 of 37.625
    StevenBlack/hosts: 38.886 of 55.481

frogeye is one of the smaller lists. I can not say its recommended, but the numbers are all. lists come, lists go.

Yes, I have restarted the browser and I can install uBlock as many times as I want, the icon shows up in the adressbar and it is displayed in the "Extensions" page, but uBlock refuses me to show any configuration settings. It seems like it's corrupted, does it perhaps has anything to do with me switching back to the old GUI? And BTW, I'm still having problems with websites not loading completely, so seems like uBlock wasn't the problem, must be a Vivaldi 3.3 thing.

Do you have any ideas, see above? Do you advice me to install uBlock manually? I wonder if I can simply copy the uBlock folder from another Vivaldi profile that I'm also using, there uBlock still works correctly. But I have no idea which folder to copy and paste, that's what I hate about Chromium browsers. For now I have switched to ABP and Ghostery, but I want uBlock Origin back. :doubt:

Apparently, not all APIs have been implemented in Thunderbird yet, so support is still limited as compared to Firefox for webextensions.

    P.S.
Why still use Single Core from 2005?
Who knows what that no longer supports ..... :thumbd:
Switch to a new CPU ;)

Use export/import from ublock. You can't copy because folders are not equal.

(Mods if necessary please move this post to a more accurate thread)

Apparently User-agent switcher also had the same issue as Nano
    https://chris.partridge.tech/2020/extensions-the-next-generation-of-malware/help-for-users/
"They approach these developers as an anonymous party - generally as a student or a developer just starting out - and ask to purchase rights to the extension."

I would like to emphasize another part of the article
"please stop harassing both developers. eSolutions Nordic AB and Hugo Xu have expressed (privately and publicly) that they deeply regret these transactions, and that they never meant to sell their users into this infection. Both parties take pride in their work, which has now been violated by someone who would take advantage of them and the community they’ve built for nefarious purposes."
