Yes and check for Optional Updates too if any are listed . There might be an Edge one.

Do you want me to check for MS updates to see if i get one for edge.

Yes you can have a try.
Also look in Edge itself for the 'About' button which should allow you to do an update.

I don't see any way to check for updates in edge.

Are you sure it is the new Chromium Edge and not the old one?

That's what I was thinking Krusty. Looks like the guy who did his machine may not have installed it (or allowed it)
    Perhaps he could check here.

The guy who put W10 on for me was telling me how great edge was after i told him i was a chrome person. He thought edge 44 was great and wanted me to use it.

The new edge does not use 160 MB of memory when not being used like the old edge did.

FYI you can have Chromium Edge check for updates by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner to open the menu, going down to "help and feedback" (which opens another menu) and selecting "About Microsoft Edge". ;)

This seems to get a lot of updates, which is good. Unlike the previous Edge, which never felt finished. I still think they should have named this something else.

Do you feel they should have distanced themselves from the older version of Edge that wasn't cutting it?

Somewhat but it's more about the confusion caused by calling them the same thing. If you search for add-ons or configuration settings it gets difficult to tell at a glance which version it is for.

Good point; I've noticed that problem too.

Like Windows Defender for Vista & Win7 as opposed to Windows Defender in 8, 8.1 and Win10?

    Maybe their dev's lack imagination.

Could be. Maybe new names would come with domain names that are already taken or copyright and trademark issues that may incur fees and such. Still, a trillion dollar company should be able to come up with something.

    I don't use Edge.
    I have 2 questions:

Also in the latest Edge build the result of the Mixed Content Handling Image Test:

    https://browserleaks.com/ssl

    is

    "Mixed Content Loaded"

while with Chrome it is "Upgraded to HTTPS".

    Why?
