    It was not offered to me. Manual update checks don't offer it. All I was offered and installed was KB4562899 which is a .Net update.

    I can't believe that they have still not fixed that bug. I am still running 1909 at the moment due to this and a few other bugs still present in 2004.

    Which bug? The defrag bug? It is fixed... in the 20H2 build. So I wouldn't expect much until then though anything is possible.
    Also, I just saw this article. I don't know if any of it addresses your issues, but it may be worth checking out:

    @imdb @xxJackxx Yeah the defrag bug. I am still holding out on this build. Figures they have it fixed in the 20H2 build which will not be out for months. I may just hold off until then.

    How is that build running for you Jack? Stable enough or really buggy?

    If you don't mind answering: how is this build running for you overall? Is it stable--are there some mystery entries in Event Viewer? Still getting ESENT 642 warnings but just a few per day now. And of course the disk "never run" thing-- honestly, this was FIXED earlier this year in an Insider build. Hmmm. Otherwise, 2004 has calmed down a lot and is running decently on here. (please! no jinxing)

    I was considering going to Release Preview ring but wanted to hear from some Insiders first.

    Well... I have 20H2 on my desktop. I have not had any issues with it there. I had installed it on my laptop. After the update I was able to boot but not log in. The screen would go black. I gave up after 3 attempts and rolled back to 2004. That said my laptop is 11 years old so I don't know how much that affects the situation but probably somewhat.

    @plat1098
    There are ESENT 642 entries in the logs but there are always some kind of entries I could live without. Nothing seems to be any more broken on this build than 2004 or 1909. If you install it and you can still log in I would call it good.

    I hear you. Some of the bugs on 2004 were show stoppers for me so that is why I went back to 1909.

    I have to take it back. The defrag bug is not fixed. I checked it this morning and everything is reset again.

    I kinda had the opposite thought. This should be easy. If they would give me the source code I could do it. I don't know what the holdup is.
