are there any tests that prove that this solution is effective, any powershell and in-memory attacks, or even some ransomware malwares that blackfog was put against?
    thanks

Please note this is just for the Enterprise console. We will be updating the client in the next couple of weeks with some new mitigation techniques.

@lucd you are free to run your own test suites against it, as we do in the labs, but there is no real standard out there and like anything you can skew anything you want to make certain products look better. Also remember we are very focused on the Privacy angle so this adds an entirely new perspective to things. Since applications cannot actually collect data about you, you are effectively reducing your exposure dramatically, so this is very hard to measure.

Darren Williams I believe your product is extremely important especially today

agree on the privacy but provided that u didn't expose yourself in the past (I wish u made this product earlier to help protect against hackers) . Since u advertize powershell and anti ransom defence it is not unlogical to ask to post a few tests on say stopping a ransomware or a powershell script in the future, it would make a few users feel better, at least a few examples from your lab (it is about feelings as I agree about the nature of such tests) , imo and all that, please think about it since nobody did any tests so far publicly (ie hitmaproalert is not participating but there are tests made by the so-called fanbase) , if I find time I try to do some tests, I think they are to some extent important (especially with ransomware, you can't allow mistakes) , best regards

@Darren Williams when installed on Android the geofence module would add a regional location outside the country list with region name, once the region is added to blocked list it will crash the blackfog app

@lucd we have never seen that but will send it for review. It is relatively easy to test the app pf course, but do you want to be installing malware on your machine for testing? I am not sure you really do. An easier way might be to do thing like try to extract data from the machine to remote locations over the dark web, or hit seem malware sites. If you want a list of sites I am happy to give you a few.

P.S We are about to release a new version with a number of new features specifically targeted at insider threats,

Fact is I'd rather have malware run locally than potentially infect my router via some network, I've seen my router under direct attack and it's not fun (bash, ShellEx entries blocked) , I would not do any test besides offline which does not make sense for blackfog (stopping the file already at network level)

there are no serious network focused programs apart blackfog and ESET

local malware can be great fun if isolated properly, great news btw about the insider threat reduction techniques, it must be done because they will try to silently disable blackfog

    Hi @Darren Williams

would it be possible to add payment options similar to the ones from VPN services
right now the service seam to offer 5 dollar a month but when I click I have to pay around 190 for family pack 3 years
please include monthly recurrent payments as an option, instead of money upfront, I asked around and I am pretty sure it would make alot of people happy, best

Offline for me too! And BlackFog has disabled my protection because my 'license is invalid'.

@lucd yes we are updating all our systems to allow for that option actually. Hence the big server updates today and new web site pages. It will reflect in the store over the next week.

I very recently upgraded to Win10 and since have not seen the Privacy Clean popup indicating it successfully cleaned. This is concerning. I reinstalled BlackFog, but nothing changed. o_O

I do not have notifications muted. I can use 'File' to clean and see that it has happened. Would prefer it working as it should, but I can live with it as is.

yes I try to buy it but so far no luck, let me know when, I'll open champagne, like really
people should stop using VPN and just start using blackflog, this is real security

also consider in future a family pack of 3 desktop and 3 mobile plan please to the recurrent monthly charge - you have it already for the money upfront plan (modern society usually has small family nuclei), I also hope your payment options are broad not just credit card, security wise it is not so secure to use a credit card online, granted you have charge back but still..
    best

@Rainwalker are you using the latest version? 4.3.1? There was a known issue in 4.3 that maybe related.

So must be a setting on your machine, because we just cannot replicate that locally. There are both System level settings to prevent popups as well as application level ones.

In Windows 10, click Manage Notifications from the top of the notifications area. Scroll down in th options until you see BlackFog listed and make sure it is set to ON. Next make sure that within BlackFog > Forensics options that "Mute Browser Clean Notify" is OFF.

I have been thinking it was something in one of my settings. Did not care enough to look although I was quickly moving in that direction. As I wrote in post #894 it was not a big deal. I do apologize for taking your valuable time and yes, it was only a system setting. New to Win10. Thank you again and I am renewing.
