I'm not sure what you mean, but exploits developed for browsers won't be able to bypass Sandboxie. You would have to write another exploit to escape from Sandboxie, that's the cool thing. So people who said that you didn't need Sandboxie anymore look pretty dumb.

I'm not liking this. Chrome and Edge were doing it and to my knowledge nobody complained. I hate to see them give in to this. But then again since you can change the option in the config it wasn't secure to begin with.

 

Apparently they're going to disable it in v77 and reenable it v78...? I wonder if they're planning to change it in some way they think people won't object to? Good luck with that

 

I really don't know how they would change it to silence the complaints but I guess we will see in v78. If they do bring it back then. I use a 3rd party password manager myself but at work I don't like the idea that someone could just open Firefox and see any saved passwords. Employees have been instructed not to save passwords in the browser but we all know how people follow directions.
