I am new here and not computer tech in any way, just a average surfer and always loved coming here to read your messages on privacy. Im on windows 10 version 1909. and have never updated since upgrading at the beginning of this year. Before this version i was on the the first version of windows 10 and never once had any issues with my system having never updated.Cheers Boz

Beat me to it, stapp. I had a machine-restart issue where it would freeze on the BIOS screen every other time, forcing me to hit ctl/alt/del to make it move. I was dreading updates and installing new Insider Builds due to this. Turns out, it was a corrupted partition. I deleted the extra Recovery partition plus one other one and Restart is fully back and working flawlessly. For now. My C drive is a little sloppy, though, with some unallocated spaces. Oh, also got a Malicious Software Removal Tool this time.

Winver 18363.836. Smooth and speedy update process. I'll be sorry to see 1909 go but my limited experience with Insider build 2004 was positive overall.

    No problem on this machine.

I have my Delivery Optimisation setting set to receive updates from PCs on my local network. Is there a way to check where updates came from, whether local or MS servers?

Updated with no issues Win10 v. 2004 to build 19041.264. There was a bug which would stop 'Disk Clean-up' from from cleaning 1.75 GB of backup. After reporting it, I'm pleased to see, it is now working properly...

When on Windows update settings page, choose Delivery optimization and then Activity monitor. It will show you something like this:

Windows 10 May 2020 Update not offered via Windows Update check.
Installed with Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, no problems.

As always (after upgrade), the System Restore found deactivated.

Still not offered via manual Win updates in UK so made an iso with Media Creation Tool to update my other machine.
Just got off to a cracking start with with OSArmor blocking setup.exe from my F drive (usb with Win 2004 iso) as a suspicious object :)) Made exception.
    Continuing on .....

I managed to upgrade using Upgrade Assistant Tool on second try. Upgrade went without a problem, only few settings changed and had to be set again. After removing old Windows installation used space on C: drive is the same as before. Macrium incremental image after upgrade is 9 GB in size.

    All good so far.

EDIT: found out that Cortana was reinstalled with upgrade. Provisioned package is hidden behind this name: Microsoft.549981C3F5F10_1.1911.21713.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe

Updated my favourite old desktop with the 2004 iso on a usb. It's a hard drive machine with 4 gig of ram :)
Upgrade went fine. I had Emsisoft Anti Malware and OSArmor (excluded the setup.exe) running.
Sandboxie and Shadow Defender are also installed.
No issues apart from having to choose a picture for my desktop background as it was black after reboot :D
