Microsoft ends Windows 7 support one year from today

    While bypassing software licensing terms and modifying commercial software is nothing new, we won't be discussing such activities here. Our TOS is clear on this.

    Fact is, it's premature to hold a Postmortem for an OS that is by no means "dead."

    Whether it's because I have great security apps, or because I'm lucky, or because all the FUD dispensed about Win7 was greatly exaggerated, I am still running Win7 with NO problems. So are several of my friends. If & when Win7 manifests real problems, then I shall update. (I say "update" and not "upgrade," for the reason that Win10 is different from Win7, but not better).

    Last January, I 'upgraded' my two Windows 7 systems to Kubuntu, as I promised myself a few years ago [1].
    Kubuntu is a little different from Windows 7, to me in a good way, to me it is better, I'm very happy with the 'upgrade'. :)
