I saw updates today on MajorGeeks for ProtonVPN, SetupVPn and NordVPN. Wonder if these updates are related to the vulnerability described above?

Huh? PrivateVPN and Betternet are among the "top 20 premium VPN apps"? I've never heard of them ;)

No, they are not since they didn't have the vulnerability. And it was fixed in the two apps "ages" ago :)

My credit card was hacked when using Private VPN.
Could not figure out how this was done.
After eliminating all possibilities, figured it was the VPN.
Warning do not use Private VPN!

What kind of possibility to "hack" your credit card through the VPN did you find? Please elaborate how you came to the conclusion that it was through the VPN the credit card was hacked and not by the usual ways?

I quickly contacted PrivateVPN support after I read half of the article to tell them about this vulnerability. Then I read the other half where they said that they contacted the two VPN's months ago and they fixed it soon after. :)

I don't trust VPNs anyway, so I'm not going to use Private VPN either.
