a setting to allow the user to automatically dismiss alerts after x-number of seconds would be nice.

Also, I'm uncertain if you're up for doing anything about this, but the chromium based microsoft edge causes HMPA to go nuts when you run that browser inside of sandboxie with HMPA's rule added to sandboxie.

I have problems with version 871. The license is not activated by code, it gives an error. What could be the problem?

I have a paid license for HitmanPro.Alert, but I use (my choice) HMPA 2.65.77 together with MBAE 1.13.1.164. Does this old version of HMPA still provide some protection? I know that most of you are testing the latest and greatest HitmanPro.Alert 3.8.x .. but maybe you have some feedback nevertheless. Thanks.

Why anyone would use old, outdated security software is beyond me. It would provide some protection, but I suspect it would fall short when it comes to the latest exploit techniques.

As I said, my choice. Don't want to start a discussion on why. Off topic.

OK, but as I said, "... I suspect it would fall short when it comes to the latest exploit techniques".

With 3.8.4 build 871 I've run into some troubles. The keystroke output in Windows 10 Mail app (Version 16005.12624.20368.0) is encrypted. Very safe but difficult for the other end to read my message :D
Known bug that I'm unaware of, or does this need a fix?

EDIT: When turning keystroke encryption off the Mail app works fine.

I also am not sure it hasn't possibly reintroduced issues (not encryption, but some typing delay, transpositions and the like) in Gmail.
But I haven't tested to definitively say that it is due to HMPA v3.8.4 build 871 yet - could just be my system ... just wondering if anyone else has noticed similar ...

I'm having the same issues in Windows 10 Mail app. Need to turn off key encryption to write anything legible.

On what profile is the Win10 Mail app protected? e.g. Browser/Media/Office/Other?

Actually, now that you mention it, I did not notice the fly out window when opening the mail app. I looked around the exploit protection apps and it was not there. I opened the mail app and then the running application in Hitman Pro Alert and selected the hxoutlook.exe application, selected the Office profile and since doing that, I now get the fly out and the keyboard is back to typing normal in Win10 mail app without deactivating keystroke encryption.

Should one protect WhatsApp desktop, and if so, which template ...'Other'?

I couldn't tolerate being without Process Hacker any longer, so I installed it. HMP was silent at first, but then began killing Process Hacker at every launch.

Process Hacker is not malware. At most, it could be considered a PUA. Microsoft doesn't consider it malware. A few malware vendors (e.g. Kaspersky) identify it as a PUA. Would it be possible to have HMP stop detecting it?

I've had to completely disable the AM module in HMP.A.

Firefox 76 and I'm seeing the green fly-out again... at least for now.

I use HMPA in conjunction with sandboxie. So everything I start inside of sandboxie is also protected by HMPA.

That's great, but what has that to do with my post?

Pretty much nothing, to address your post. I haven't had any issues with the notification for firefox developer edition or nightly. Does that help?
