Yeah, Emsisoft AM now flags debotnet.exe as 'Trojan.GenericKD.42825948(B)' on extract of zip file.
Disabled EAM, allowed once on execute, but then again had to delete the debotnet-setting.txt file in bin folder to get it working ...

The B means it's the BitDefender engine that is detecting it.

Maybe @Belim7 can take it up with them?

Edit: Had to delete the debotnet-setting.txt file in bin folder a second time to get it working ... may have been a transitory issue.

Yes, its the BitDefender engine again. Had already reported to them.

Release 0.6.303 isn't been flagged, but it uses the same code base as release 0.6.503
    https://github.com/mirinsoft/debotnet/releases/tag/0.6.303
I find it completely incomprehensible. Could you please check 0.6.303 with Emisoft. On Virustotal it is not flagged

Yes - there was no issue previously with 303 and Emsisoft.
Just tested again and can confirm, no issue.

Edit: Disabled EAM and went back to 503 though. :shifty:
303 replaces 241 files, and 503 replaces 251 - could be one of those extra 10?

Thanks for testing :). Yes, having here the same results with 0.6.303 (clean)
The replaced files are ONLY script files (and NOT executables).
Without Debotnet as "Interpreter" which can execute these files, they are basically treated as plain text files. So an AV can do anything with it anyway.

It's the Debotnet.exe which is currently being tagged from versions >0.6.4 and ONLY by BitDefender and Microsoft Defender (Cloud protection ONLY).

I've pushed a new nightly release which can be found here
    https://www.mirinsoft.com/debotnet-nightly (0.6.504)

I will wait, drink lots of coffee and see how the upcoming minor builds will be handled now.

You can set Windows Update to notify for download (NO auto updates anymore)

Debotnet > updates > No more forced updates

or you mean stopping Windows updates permanently?
