There is a uk service called britbox, jumping on this bandwagon of media companies wanting to run their own netflix service, and I tried it, conclusion was it was complete junk vs netflix, mostly because it was filled with things like reality shows, quiz shows, and soaps. Which I consider low quality tv.

This disney service wont be so bad quality, but I expect will have very limited content compared to netflix.

It feels like the market is imploding on itself, the original idea of all you can eat on netflix was sound, but greed has kicked in where everyone instead wants to run their own service, so they have netflix take a share of income, which is a big loss for consumers because then they need to subscribe to multiple services, the inevitable result is piracy will rise again, or people simply go without.

Forgot to reply on this, but I completely agree. And I blame Netflix for this situation, they should have stayed low key but they wanted to get bigger and bigger and that spurred others to compete. And with Netflix it's more about quantity instead of quality. I can't find many of my favorite TV series from back in the days.

Luckily, in Holland it's not that bad yet, you have got Netflix, Prime Video, Videoland and Disney+. I switch between these streaming services and I also use Apple iTunes because my favorite movies aren't always availabe on "all you can eat" services. On the other hand, more services should normally mean access to more movies and series. So Hulu is welcome, hopefully Disney will make it available in Holland.

So far it's not worth it to me as over 90% of their stuff is cartoons, Kid's stuff and old movies. Not yet enough newer things to watch.
