    Hey guys,

here's my newest addition, which goes by the name of Debotnet.

Debotnet is a free and portable tool for controlling Windows 10's many privacy-related settings and keep your personal data private.

Windows 10 has raised several concerns about privacy due to the fact that it has a lot of telemetry and online features, which send your data (sensitive and not) to Microsoft and can't be disabled.

With Debotnet you can choose which unwanted functions you wish to deactivate. You will be able to select from almost 70 options to tailor your Windows 10 experience to your own privacy comfort level.

The app is currently in beta stage. You will find more information on the blog post here

EatosDesign aka addy Windows 9 Icons sounds like one right down my alley.

Poor developers of all circles. Microsoft is really made them wrestle to fix their very unfinished O/S.

If or when forced over to that junk, hopefully more projects will be equally & better fashioned for users to stomach 10's debacle mess.

    Very nice helpful program!!

    Debotnet v0.2.8 Released (January 14, 2020)
    Download (GitHub)
    Added Undo/Revert script function
This option changes registry keys, turns on services, scheduled tasks etc. back to Windows 10/Third-party apps defaults. Therefore another code section [Undo] has been added to .DS1/Script files. The bloatware UWP apps will not be reinstalled, although I am not a fan of these, but appropriate PowerShell switches could be added to script files. The Backup function provided from v0.2.3 to 0.2.7 is obsolete and has been removed now

    Further changes
    • Added script to Remove Windows Defender (Advanced)
    • Reverted changes of scripts context menu added in v0.2.7 (Context menu opens the same "Select" menu provided in v0.2.6)
    • Optimized script "Download Wim Tweak"
    • Updated link to Documentation on GitHub (@mirinsoft/debotnet/wiki)
    • Renamed .design "Debotnet Dimmed" > "Debotnet++"
    • Updated several script files
    • Minor UI Improvements
    • Minor bug fixes

    Hi,

yes, the most actions can be reverted. You could open the code of the script file [Debotnet > Upper right corner > Code] and take a look into the [Undo] section, to check whether revert is possible. If it says, something like this.

    Code:
    [Undo]
Info1=Msg,This script changes can not be reverted.
Then, its NOT possible. Statements like these are the exception, but I also advise against running these scripts, where an Undo is not possible.

Please check also this FAQ entry

The scripts repository used in Debotnet is maintained on GitHub >> https://github.com/mirinsoft/debotnet/tree/master/scripts
If you see that a script does not work or has not been updated for a long time, you can get the latest version from the GitHub repo.

    Regards
    Belim

    https://www.mirinsoft.com/ms-apps/debotnet is showing SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I didn't add it to the exclusions and got the file through GitHub. Please check and fix the issue Belim. Thanks! :)
