I don't know if this is related to today's updates or not but I'm trying to watch YouTube videos in full screen mode in Firefox and the Windows Task Bar is not disappearing, meaning the bottom of the videos is hidden.

Closing Firefox and opening it back up does not help. Will try a system restart soon.

A system restart seems to have done the trick.

Be careful with the latest maintenance updates for .Net Framework (at least for Windows 8.1). I had some problems with SFC after installing KB4534134:

It took me hours to fix the mess.

    was it ever broken?
oh, btw, elam, your taste in movies is just as bad as your taste in "security"; stuck in the past with outdated things.

Yes, it was broken. Read here:

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...kb4517245-update-causes-file-explorer-issues/
    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...ile-explorer-bugs-to-be-fixed-after-holidays/

And see here. This is what I used to get before the update when I pasted something.

Regarding movies, old? Thats not old. Last week I watched the 1921 version of The four horsemen of the Apocalypse with Valentino. And set for tomorrow, I have The squaw man from 1914. Quality and age.

    Thanks mood!

    Also at https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...post-end-of-life-update-to-fix-wallpaper-bug/
I see that MS mentioned it at January 14, 2020—KB4534310 (Monthly Rollup)
    But I don't see it mentioned at January 14, 2020—KB4534314 (Security-only update)
I am not sure why it isn't mentioned there.

Did you previously apply the manual mitigation of current IE11 vulnerability? That fix is known to bust SFC.

You mean the one that restricts jscript.dll?

I disabled the fix long ago since it caused more problems than solving them like white area in the Services.msc:

Broken WMP => Server Execution Failed

etc... so I reversed the fix.

Knock wood, none of the above, not yet anyway. The process went very quickly and smoothly on here. I wonder if those who have the boot and performance problems had the same experience.
