Vivaldi doesn't serve updated websites if the browsing history is not deleted?

A website has updated their products version/build info on the download page but Vivaldi shows the old info. If I try Vivaldi Private Window then the products updated info is available on the website.

If I copy the download page link, paste on any forum, click the link, Vivaldi shows the updated info.

I finally decided to update Vivaldi after 6 months, and I should have done it earlier. This newest version feels snappier and uses less RAM. They finally fixed the bookmark sorting problem, but strangely enough, I still have problems with History, it doesn't show me all sites that I visited. But I have to say that Vivaldi is simply the best browser for true power users. Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Opera and Brave have got nothing on Vivaldi.

:thumb: Its a serious alternative browser that is about as good as it gets IMO and I use it with a whole host of add-ons against all the crap websites stuff pages with theses days which makes it the ideal choice among other great useful features.

At the time I first tested it for regular use i had no idea that Vivaldi would rise to the occasion.

Yes it has improved a lot, the first versions were barely usable. I'm surprised that not more people on this forum are using it. It does everything that for example Firefox, Brave and Edge do and even more. It's the only true Opera 12 replacement, if it wasn't for Vivaldi I would have had a huge problem. The browser is my most used app, and I can't function without certain tab and bookmark management options.

I don't spend an excessive amount of time reading news but I do like to try to keep up with what's going on in this topsy turvy world from time to time on a daily basis thru news sites.

However that absolutely childish behavior the moment you land on one where your first view they insert is "We notice that you're using an ad blocker" (uh yeah, YOU ARE THE ONES blocking the view to be readable) is trash. They dim the page and render it useless. That is unless you subscribe or some other nonsense.

Vivaldi with just the right add-ons sweeps those interferences out of your viewing way and that coupled with it's stability is the reason that I have come to rely on it more than any other browser for quite awhile now.

It's ridiculous websites which they make claim is there to serve the public viewing interest stoop to such tactics

USA still the best. But barely.
As just mentioned & I don't know if it has been discussed much here or as a reminder.

Vivaldi is based on Chromium not Chrome which is a very good thing.

The most important extension on any browser is uBlock Origin of course. But it would be cool if Vivaldi added a tracking blocker plus a more advanced password manager. This would certainly attract more users.

This is a bit confusing to me, then which browsers are based on Chrome?

It's horrendous the demand that websites force not only on us users but developers as well who go so far out of their way to try and make browsing experiences less distressful.

Lets keep our sights and expectations high with Vivaldi that they indeed add a tracking blocker. Quite agree on that. And yes uBlock Origin is a real time help to punch thru the garbage that they keep stuffing websites with to distract attention from the basic viewings.

If they want adds and nonsense videos I wish there was some way to give them their own dedicated websites just for those purposes alone and so websites would leave that crud off their pages. Its sick the way sites get gummed up especially for PC Users like me where the memory (and bandwidth) isn't enough to handle the extra load they put on the machine.
