"[Updated on 9th August: Earlier this week, we had halted the throttle of Norton Security 22.18.0.213 due to an in-field issue which resulted in Norton user interface failing to open after the upgrade, in some systems.

This issue is fixed now and patch is re-posted.

Note: This is a throttled release."

I believe this may also affect Norton Security for home users too.

If they got rid of their marketing department and spent more on development and support they probably would end up with a great product that people actually like.

Yesterday I purchased Norton antivirus plus at Walmart. went home and attempted to install it but it would not install. all it would do was put up a support number to call. To make a very long story short. For almost fourty five minutes all the support guy did was attempt to sell me more software. He never once attempted to address the problem of non installing. I am totally finished with Norton Lifelock.

To set up a product you purchased at a retail store, visit www.norton.com/setup and it will send you to the correct page in your country. There, you can create an account and download your product.
    Hi
Curious... I've not bought Norton box from Walmart.
Does the box include key code?
Does the key code need to be activated at the store register?
Does the box include instructions to setup Norton account and download your product?
Did you remove other real-time protection?
Um, did you contact Official Norton Support? > https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/contact
Curious, care to share called support phone number? here or PM
    Thanks

it was an official Norton support number. don't remember the number it was on screen at the time. and yes it is a keycode in box and has to be double scanned to activate.after downloading the product it would not install and then it displayed several
numbers for support in several countries.

With all of these acquisitions I export Norton to fizzle out over the next couple of years. I have lost all interest in it.
