My sig, with all current updates and Macrium Reflect free with recent backup saved to an external drive. MS Edge, latest version released. I think it's all that's needed.

My security setup for the past few months on Win10 have been nothing. The convenience of not tweaking anymore is addictive. Or maybe I'm just getting lazy.

That's Hard Configurator, unless you're a fanatic who has to tweak settings. Install, set Defender settings to High, Harden the firewall and choose recommended settings or a version in tools, and forget it.

Sorry, I should have made myself clear. What I meant was I'm running Win10 on default settings (Win Defender is On) without tweaking/hardening anything built-in or adding 3rd-party security tools. I wanted to try see what it feels like being normal. So far, managed to survive just fine.

You are by no means alone, my friend. There are many users not infected with security forum paranoia who get by with WD.

I'm also planning to run Win 10 on default settings once my AVs licenses expire. Windows Defender is good enough nowadays, and having a reliable backup program which allows me to restore within five minutes, it is all I need for my peace of mind.

Windows 10 is not what XP was back in the day, Chrome, Brave, and now the new Edge are browsers designed with security in mind. As much as there is very sophisticated malware around, by and large it is not easy to infect an updated Windows 10 machine... Large companies, and government institutions are more vulnerable because they run large networks, they often get dedicated attacks with some employees clicking on anything...
