How Xiaomi dethroned Samsung to become the king of Indian smartphones
From 3% market share in 2016 to around 30% today, Xiaomi has caught up to the mighty Samsung and even surpassed it

I like my Xiaomi smartphone a lot and I have various other Xiaomi products too.

I don't know why anybody is surprised Samsung was dethroned. Samsung is terrible at designing cheap smartphones and isn't best at mid-range either.

I'd rather want they increase the prices for 10% and I don't have the amount of "xiaomi ad blocks" in Adguard firewall even after having disabled all the "recomendation for you" settings at dozens of spots in the os...

Samsung is crap. For some weird reason, the screen always blacks out, with no way to fix this. I've checked every Android setting, but nothing helps. BTW, I've seen this on multiple Samsung phones, and they weren't mine because I don't buy Samsung crap.

USA still the best. But barely.
Please explain this as I don't have a Xiaomi. Nor have I had any phone manufacturer push ads on any of the many phones I've owned.

Years ago I had a Samsung phone the charging port stopped working. This was a very common problem with Samsungs. The micro-USB connector would break off from the mobo. Did Samsung ever fix this pervasive problem?

@zapjb Just google xiaomi and adds. E.g.
    https://www.teamandroid.com/2019/08/29/remove-xiaomi-miui-ads-popups/

I mean 6 places +/- to turn of "recomendations" on a bought product is a bit to much for me.
I just looked at the hardware and not the OS when I bought it.

I see no adds but still find stuff like: tracking.intl.miui.com or api.ad.intl.xiaomi.com in my firewall log as blocked by adguard.
Maybe it more about tracking and not adds but I like neither :D

Most people install apps that track more invasively than MIUI - modified Android OS installed on most Xiaomi smartphones except Android One series. On the other hand Xiaomi not only designs affordable smartphones with good specs, but also is one of the best in terms of providing OS updates.

I can only tell you that for the phone I have the "stable" security updates were so few that I had to switch to the "beta" channel to get security updates in time (not talking about getting the update for month 8 in month 11). After they stopped the "betas" I was not impressed with theire speed to deliver "stable" versions. My experience based on one phone.
