    I got a copy of Backupper Pro for free in the past, but had to stop using it because I was experiencing BSODs. (I'm also using Win 8.1.) Has anyone experienced that?

    Yes, occasional BSOD (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION), but due to some confict with Glasswire, admitted by Glasswire developer.

    Been using AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro v7.0 on Windows 8.1 and it done quick and simple work for me when changing out HDD's for saved image installs that sometimes left a good chunk of unallocated space and this app resorted everything to it's expected placement after error. In other words fitted the partition to all the disk by expanding etc. Really nice safe product I also highly recommend from experience with it.

    I never used it but saw forum posts here, so when BDJ sent me email, I grabbed it. Much of it looks like the stuff I had to do in live or installed Mint's gparted. Having such a tool smack in windows will be nice. Of concern for me is running something like that in a live and very, very busy Windows, they don't ever stop being busy. Is that not a problem?

    Yes I consider it (as other partition tools of this type) rather like an end user's surgical kit of sorts where shifting, alignment, and other modifications to a HDD's partition is made so much more confident in the sensitive work that one might be doing.

    I've got a lifetime licence for AOMEI Backupper Pro and have two urls to download full copy, both urls previously supplied by AOMEI support, but they download two significantly different (sizewise) files, both v5.0.0.0 ~ one at 104mb (ABPro.exe) , the other 140mb (AOMEIBackupperSetup)... any idea which I should use?!

    Also have a lifetime (2 machines) license.

    When I contacted Support in January they said: 'you can download the latest version of AOMEI Backupper from the following link once we release a new version' and gave a link to AOMEIBackupperSetup.exe.

    Would post the link here, but I think it's against the rules ...

    The smaller one, Pro, the larger one is a multifile. It becomes the appropriate version when activating depending on your licens.
