I don't know what any of that does, but for $10 more dollars I will get it. You never know when I might need it.

 

BootIt is my favourite software. This is an example of using BootIt UEFI...

 

So that picture shows how you divided up the partitions into smaller sections? If so how is this helpful?

 

Disk 1 contains over twenty Windows and Linux OS.

What size is the diff?
What is the filename of the diff?

 

I didn't make the Diff. I simply scheduled it like you said and will let the program handle it. Unless you want me to make a Diff. If you do, just click on the CMD file and run it from there correct, just like before?

 

As a test open Task Scheduler, right click the IFW task and click Run. It should make a diff. You can delete the diff after answering the above questions.

 

Ok Great I ran it and I can see that the file being produced has in it DIFF.

Your image will contain 7 partitions. There is one partition which doesn't show in Disk Management. The MSR partition.

 

Again thanks for all your help Brian, If I can ever be of assistance to you, do not hesitate to ask. Do I need the MSR partition, or that just doesn't show up and that is the way it works? Also, the way I am setup I have a full recovery in case anything were to happen? In the normal way of course when an imaging software would be needed.

 

Microsoft says every GPT disk should have a MSR partition. It's only 16 MB. Leave it alone.

If your HD fails, replace it with a new one and restore the entire image in one step. Easy.

If you double click your TBI, the 7 partitions will appear in TBIView.

When you open IFW are you asked for your name and serial? If not, go to your download site and download
"TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite V3.35"

Just install this over the top of your trial version. You don't need to uninstall the trial.

You should create recovery media for use in restoring images. Let's start with easy. Go to...

C:\Program Files (x86)\TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite\IFL


double click makedisk.exe, next
Traditional- You have control over options. (Custom), next
dot in I accept the agreement, next
no ticks in the two ini, next (this screen might not be present)
Global Geometry----tick in Align Partitions on 1MiB Boundaries, next
Miscellaneous Global Options, no selections, next
Additional ifl.ini Options, no additions at present (I use TimeZone=AUS-10;ISO8601=1), next
Name and Product Key V3, next
Leave Boot Drive Mounted as /tbu/boot, next
Normal Boot, next
BIBM Licensed Name, Product Key (leave blank if you don't own BIBM)
For additional options I use TimeZone=AUS-10;GlobalGeoAlign2K=1;ISO8601=1 but you can leave it blank
select your CD burner drive letter (you can use a CD-RW or a CD-R disc). Or USB flash drive. Or ISO File.
I only use UFD so I choose
USB Layout... Partition - FAT/FAT32 partition
Geometry Calculation Method... Use Device
Finish

IFL will restore IFW images.

 

I had this part done already Brian because it closely matched the create Recovery Media I went through with Macrium.
Wish TeraByte would implement a way to make a Full copy and Diff thereafter on a schedule like Macrium has built in.
But no worries I had you help me so all is well.

Brian, when Macrium Reflect has an update I always make a new Recovery media on a USB as it seems Macrium needs this. Does TeraByte work in the same way? Or maybe, how often should I make a new Recovery Media or update it?

 

In general you don't need to update Recovery Media unless you see a message like this...
