While it's currently detected by 22 scanners at VirusTotal, 20 of the detection are generic or heuristic. This indicates to me, that it is highly likely it's a false positive.

    Hi again.
I think that it's not dangerous (I have used in the past without problem) but it has something if these antivirus says that.
    It's my opinion, that all.
    ;)

It a false positive. It's no longer detected by Avast and I'm sure that in the coming days, fewer scanners will detect it.

It's now only detected by 12 scanners, rather than 22. I'm 100% certain that it is a false positive.

Caught by HitmanPro.Alert (CTP3)'s CredGuard... (and then offered to scan itself...)

What does this have to do with the new build to HitmanPro? Your comment is very unclear.

@RonnyT -- thanks for the heads-up!!! HMP build 310 is working great for me.

I didn't get an alert here, also running CTP3, and Credential Theft Protection is enabled.

I'm confused. HitmanPro and HitmanPro.Alert are on two different threads. This thread is for Hitman Pro. Why are you posting HitmanPro.Alert results on this thread?

The thread for Hitman Pro.Alert is over THERE.

Well, not quite. The CTP3 (beta) thread is here. I understand that @XIII posted their results here to alert the developers.

That new build of HitmanPro is intercepted by HitmanPro.Alert...

Since I don't know whether it's an issue in HMP or HMP.A I posted it here.

Thank you for the info. I understand now. Odd situation -- the big brother AV tattles on his little brother AV. Sibling rivalry? Hmmmm... :cautious:

whoo, this is gonna be a looong scan, relatively. Got the latest Insider 19035.1000, lots of new stuff. Just thought I'd share. Note: the scan typically takes about 50 seconds. It's currently at 8 minutes 22 seconds and has 233 more things to upload. :)

I *guess* you are talking about something unique to Win10. If so, please make that fact clear in your posts. There are still a lot of people who do NOT use Win10.

I respect that, bellgamin. Currently, this is Windows v. 2004, which is slated to arrive in the Spring of 2020. It's in my signature.

    Thanks for confirming, Bertazzone. :thumb:

Just updated to Build 310 here on Windows 10 1809.

Total scan time for me is about the same today, at 3m 47s.
