Okay, you could try the standalone WLC so that your files are know by the cloud.
If that doesn't work you can disable the WLC component or to wait for Dan to fix it.
Another option is uninstall and use the latest stable non beta version.

There are a handful of files that are always flagged by WLC on my machines.
Thanks, but I am aware of my options. I didn't post here seeking support.

    Have a great weekend.

Can a bystander ask a silly question. I know wlc is supposed to tell you what files on your pc is safe, but what is the point of it. I know all the files on my pc are safe.

    Hi Pete,

That is pretty much the point of WLC. Not everyone knows that all files on their machine are safe. I think it is to give Enterprise and security conscious users a peace of mind.

I also believe it is designed to reduce VS's reliance on ViruTotal.

    Hi Krusty,

I have only ever installed VS on this one device and always did over the top installations of every new version. So I didn't think deleting all devices would make any difference but just to be sure I followed your suggestion and took a look at the account settings and this confirmed there were no other installations to delete.

However after thinking about all this again I decided to give things another go and installed the latest 5.52 beta. As expected trying to register my pro license resulted in the expired message again so I went back to the free version and then installed the standalone WLC to run together.

I don't know why my pro license with the 2118 expiry was terminated but will try this current setup for now and then in the new year I can decide if I'm able to purchase a new license and take it from there.

Just go to the VS web site and click 'buy Pro'. The 50% offer is on there. I just got a new 2 year license

    I purchased a 12 month license for US$15. But, I couldn't find a "Black Friday" page special. ;)

    Thanks. :)

I was so confused, because I had a problem activating/registration after having uninstalled the v5.51 beta, and then installing the latest v5.52 beta. So, much so that I e-mailed Dan at https://voodooshield.com, and he has kindly extended that registration beyond the 12 months.

P.S. @zarzenz I saw that earlier post concerning the problem you were having with VS. I can only suggest you contact Dan at https://voodooshield.com
