I have sent Dan an email. I'm sure we'll get it sorted.

I still can't get registered for the VoodooShield Forum. Using my real email, checking spam boxes, no luck.

Gave the beta a run out in Shadow Defender while browsing Sandboxied in Vivaldi.
    Worked fine.

Dan, as you suggested, a reboot took care of the problem... :)

New VS user here with a question about the settings under Basic > Security Posture... What is the result of selecting 'Silent'? :doubt:

I did try to look it up in the pdf, but it's desperately in need of an update!

If you click the "i" icon you will get an explanation.

Am trying out VoodooShield 5.02 Free.

I have a PDF creator plugin from Foxit PhantomPDF in Firefox. When I do a Web search, every time I click on "Next" to get the next page of search results, VS alerts me that it "blocked a possible exploit" for a file "foxitcmd.cmd" located in AppData/Local/Temp. No matter how many times I click on Allow for this file, the next time the file gets called VS keeps asking me if I want to block or allow it.

    Two questions:
    1. Is this a false positive, or should I be worried about it? VirusTotal reports no issues with this file.
    2. How do I add this file to the whitelist so that VS doesn't keep bugging me about it? I don't see anywhere in the GUI where I could (for example) simply "add this file to the whitelist."
Thanks. I'm just starting on VS, so please bear with me!

That worked very well, thank you!

The Block/Allow prompt seems to function in a less obscure manner in 5.04 than in 5.02 which I'd first installed: now when I click to Allow the file foxitcmd.cmd, a new dialog pops up asking me if I want to create a rule for the file:

    VoodooShield rules.png

However, the choices for Rule Type sound pretty scary: why would I choose Allow for "all files on my computer" or even "all files" on any drive? All I want is to create a rule for this one specific file in the Temp folder, not for the entire Temp folder. I didn't find any guidance in the VS User Guide for how to create rules.

Hoping someone can walk me through the process; I'm sure I'm not the only one who has or will ever have this question.

UPDATE: As I continue to use Firefox, the prompt to create the rule isn't showing up any more. All I'm getting now is the pop-up asking whether to block or allow foxitcmd.cmd.
