Windows® 7 SP1, 8, 8.1 or 10 Windows® Server 2008 R2 or later (32- and 64-bit operating systems) Version 4.0.4 (32 MB, October 17, 2019) ..... I don't see the new installer.
V4.0.4 (b310) now manually downloaded, and successfully installed. Will still have to see if 'Check for Update' performs in future ... (as in post #74.
@Dragon1952: we just updated the file, not the release notes as there was no change to any part of the app.
BFP setup ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again."
Passed all our internal tests, so not sure Dragon. You have a lot of stuff running. Tell us the error and perhaps we can give you some advice. Please make sure you have an active connection though, because it needs to install the MS runtime support.

Several people on the list have asked for the ability to customize the times for the Privacy Clean. We are going to offer the following options: Never, 4, 8, 12, 24, 48, Weekly, Monthly Will that satisfy everyones needs?

It looks like the consumer desktop app is auto renewal. Is there a opt out somewhere for the auto renewal.
I can't enter my license without getting some error message. I don't see where i can cancel the auto renewal. How do i get my money back if possible.
The license key will activate by talking to our servers, so you need internet access to apply the key. Just email sales if you want to cancel it too.
Why do i need a pin code that came with my order. I have a license key and a pin code in the email i was sent.
Any tips for keeping Blackfog app on with android 8 on Huawei tablet? I have disabled all battery saving for Blackfog, but it still keeps turning off and then back on randomly. Now i'm using DNS66 and it's keeping on fine, but it has "keep alive" setting in options that Blackfog doesn't have.
@Dragon, the PIN is for Mobile devices. It may keep working but it will stop if it is restarted at some point. We try to be non aggressive on this stuff. @X9X, we have only seen it stop in certain situations depending upon the vendor of Android. We have an article about "BlackFog stopping on some devices". I suspect DNS66 will just be toggling one of the system options. We will add it to the list in the next update.
We could probably be more proactive Dragon. The next update will tell you what is not working etc. Thanks for pointing it out.
Thank you for the new update 4.1 nice to see "Added Clean Interval options to Privacy Clean" & Congrats for the new layer "Botnets" which reinforces protection against infracstructures used by attackers. I guess it's a good complement to the existing layers. Keep going the good work br.
how effective this program would be against banking trojan (sleeping malware) ? any real test you can point to? especially since it has no scanning options but just operates on network level with some monitoring of processes and anti-powershell I think banking is more important that some privacy and trackers (all things considered) why I would choose BF and not say a specific program that protects against fileless malware or this type of threats
@lucd threats are evolving rapidly now to a point that they can easily bypass any standard AV solution or any solution that uses standard signature detection. This is very easy to fake and morph, so for a start you have to select a system that is not based upon that (which is most of them). If you think about the goal of an attacker, it is ultimately to steal something, be it monetary, data, identity etc. In order for them to do this they have to, firstly, get onto your device, and secondly, get information off your device. BlackFog is designed to stop the communication OUT of your machine and uses behavioral techniques to do this. Without boring you on the specifics, we have 12 layers of prevention, which effectively means we can stop an attack at many levels of its replication and activation, including fileless attacks you mention above (which is an important category we focus on). Now it's up to you what you choose of course, but I would challenge you to find anything with the breadth and type of protections available in BlackFog. Personally, I would just install them and have a play and see which one you like best and what you think offers the best value.
