    Do you mean under Options..Cookies?

Just move them over to the delete side via highlight and click centre arrow.

IE recreates certain cookies as soon as you delete them. When you do Analyse (using custom clean of course) right-click on the individual IE entry and select to view it.

    Hello!

@ Bo - when I open CCleaner, it finds cookies in Options -> Cookies. There is a list of cookies of the sites I visited in a sandboxed IE, after termination and deletion - the list is still there and it contains the sites I visited in that IE session.

I don't have the deprecated.cookie file if go look for it with Windows EXplorer. But CCleaner finds it, during Analyze. And removing it then clears the cookies listed in Options -> Cookies. Until I do another sandboxed IE session, then it's all over again and it seems like leaking.

@ bjm - I checked the "...\Internet Explorer\DOMStore\..." folder now and am able too see IE cookies there (in a sandbox, not outside). Those cookies get deleted after emptying the sandbox, as they should.

So is this the folder where IE save cookies, not the one inside "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\..."?

@ stapp - Yes, under Options -> Cookies -> Cookies on Computer. What do you mean move them? They are already all under "Cookies on Computer".

Thank you all, very much, for your help. I still don't know where CCleaner gets the list of the cookies in "Options -> Cookies -> Cookies on Computer", after I've deleted the sandbox...

I did some testing again, I'm probably repeating myself, but just to be super clear and hope you guys could try to see this weird behavior for yourselves, on your own machines...

So, after cleaning the "IE - Temporary Internet Files" entry, CCleaner then, only then, after I Analyze again, finds "IE - Cookies" entry. It's not there before! And "view all files" of that "IE - Cookies" entry shows a newely created file "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCookies\deprecated.cookie" which only contains this text: "Cookies are no longer stored in files. Please use Internet*Cookie* APIs to access cookies."

I went and deleted that file (deprecated.cookie) manually with Windows Explorer, but CCleaner still shows the cookies on the list and recreates the file afer I re-do the Analyze and clean the IE Temp files.

If I then clean the "IE - Cookies" entry with CCleaner, only then, the list under Options -> Cookies is empty again.

So what is going on, I don't know....

that list of cookies ist real BS, could be all detected cookies in the past of your browser. ccleaner show same bs for firefox what is definitely wrong.

dont use ccleaner on any browser! the "Internet Options" are all you need for IE!

    Hi,

but where does it read those exact cookies from the session from? After cleaning they are gone. And if I have another sadboxed session and then terminate+delete sandbox, they are there again, exact ones from that new session - from the websites I visited in this last session, not same as before.

For Firefox it doesn't show anything, for FF it shows that it works as it should - all cookies gone after emtpying the sandbox.

Was anyone able to reproduce my weird problem? :/

Can we still expect more updates to sandboxie in the future? It's only a matter of time before a windows update breaks it again.

OK, but where from? After I delete a sandbox, then it lists them. Where is that info stored so that CCleaner can read it? Is anyone albe to reproduce this?

i have a huge block list in firefox, built in time. ccleaner is able to read that database - but at least it show 4 on the right side which may be ok for the moment, the list left contain about 400+ blocked sites. i dont know why but i dont care because its a BS list (in ccleaner). for real is the information which is shown in firefox, Edge, Chrome or IE options. forget ccleaner, dont mind on it -> its short for "crap" cleaner - at least this function is really crap(py).

i never like this cleaner that why i like sandboxie bc i no need clean burdel after browser bc sandbox do it every time when i close it...
Yea i know ccleaner dont only clean browser cache but system and other apps thoo.... but for this i also have Shadow Defender.

If i wanna clean system i have made snapshot for manual audit system in tools like DiskBoss / SysTracer and i compare Difrences in REG/Files and based on web guides i decide what to clean.

Basicaly most comon files which need to delete or take care on are:

    C:\Users\"YOUR-NICK'\AppData\Local\Temp

Error system info some times windows can genere there big/fat files 1 month ago when help my mate reduce system size windows storaged there 12gb log error files......
    C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports
    C:\users\Quassar\appdata\local\CrashDumps

System update-data because windows still dont delete all files after update which no need longer - poor Windows...
    C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Ofc there is some yet junks files after other programs or driver which you need check out for example Nvidia drivers
    C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2

And each other programs which can genere log or data which can steal you data
Mostly files are hold in %AppData% but rare time also in ProgramFiles (depen on setting software mostly program prefer keep settings in appdata but somes ofer user change folder to ProgramFiles or other desination during instalation.

For me the best way is make is jut make snapshot folder structure on 1st boot virgin system and compare it with present and you will fast and easly figure out what steal you a lots pace :)

If you still are lazy and you wanna use automatic software for clean space you need know it will be never precisous much as manual but soft which i would recomand its Dism++
Soft have a lot good opinion on MyDigitalLife forum.

    Thank you all for help.

I believe that Sandboxie is not really leaking. But, I'm very curious - why noone but me sees IE cookies listed in CCleaner under Options -> Cookies, after terminating and emptying a sandbox. Why can't you reproduce it too? I see it on all my Windows 10 computers.

The second pic - what do you then see under Options -> Cookies? Any cookies listed or is it empty?

Are you using Easy Clean or Custom Clean in CCleaner? (just wondering)

Has anyone been able to successfully sandbox the built-in Windows 10 app "Mail?" It uses the filename "hxoutlook.exe." Simply adding the executable's path doesn't seem to work.

Sandboxie isn't compatible with appcontainer. So, I doubt you will be able to use Sandboxie on it.

    Hi bjm_,

do I understand you correctly? You run a sandboxed IE and visited a couple of websites, then terminated that sandbox and deleted it's contents, then run CCleaner and you too saw the list of the sites you just visited, under Options -> Cookies?

If yes, then you reproduced my problem. So, did you?

"Only delete files in Windows temp older than 24 hours" - if I remove the tick something changes in my CCleaner too, it's weird.

    1) @Bellzemos asked about Options > Cookies #5839
    2) I checked Options > Cookes and found 0.
Note: may have been more than 24 hours and I'd probably run CCleaner at some time.
Note: IE is not my daily rider.
    3) I ran my IE test again:
    png_2497.png
    4) I checked Options > Cookies and found pic #5844.
    5) I head scratched for a mo' and removed check @ 'Only delete files in Windows temp older than 24 hours'.
    6) 'Run Cleaner' against = \deprecated.cookie
    7) Options > Cookies = 0 Cookies pic #5845
    8) Google search 'deprecated.cookie' found piriform.com/topic/53508 in #5845.
Hope, I've not strayed too far off topic.
    Regards w Respect

    Hi bjm_,

thank you for testing. I think you've found something regarding my problem. I still hope someone could reproduce the behaviour on my PCs as well (with "Only delete files in Windows temp older than 24 hours" ticked, as it is by default in CCleaner), but even if not - I'm giving up on this. It doesn't seem right to me, what happens, what I described in my posts - but I'm giving up on researching it.

I will still use Sandboxie of course and I still love it. :)

    Thank you all.

Um, your concern is with CCleaner behavior, Internet Explorer behavior or Sanboxie behavior?
Maybe, pursue your concern over on Piriform since, they're aware re deprecated.cookie + Internet Explorer.
    8) Google search 'deprecated.cookie' found piriform.com/topic/53508 in #5845.
