Well, I downloaded the 64 bit version from the Adlice website and during installation, the entire desktop went white for the duration of the installation. This was repeated 3x. I took a screen capture of it. My NVIDIA graphics driver is the latest: 436.48. Windows 10 1903 fully updated. There seems to be no harm done afterward and there is no Event Viewer error but it's not natural. If you want, I can send the video to Adlice, it's only 31 seconds long. On the plus side, the scan was clean and no PUMs. Yay!
Hi all Rogue Anti-Malware 13.5.2.0 https://www.adlice.com/download/roguekiller/ With best Regards Mops21
This is because explorer is stopped during installation. I'm sorry but there's no other way to replace the shell extension DLL for now
RK developer: no need to put a frown emoji in your explanation, it is what it is. The endless chiming reappeared at machine startup today, causing me to use Task Manager to end it agaiin. I had to remove RogueKiller for this reason. The machine has very little besides Windows installed. Sorry.
Is it possible for you to send a memory dump when that happens ? https://forum.adlice.com/index.php?topic=292.0 If you can do so we'll be able to know why that happens and fix it. Also, is it always the same notification ?
Hi all Rogue Anti-Malware 13.5.3.0 https://www.adlice.com/download/roguekiller/ https://forum.adlice.com/index.php?topic=3585.0 With best Regards Mops21
Version 14.0 of RogueKiller is available for testing (BETA) https://www.adlice.com/introducing-roguekiller-14/
Code: https://capmusic.ru/ru53332/-RTMD-ALISuF2ebgAAvhwCAE5MGQASAG1HKZsA.exe I run this malware but "roguekiller malware protection" did not warn me. Malware executed my system. And very dark. I want to back white theme please.
Is it available on VT ? Or any hash ? EDIT: Ok I got it, indeed the scan is slow to respond and the malware executes. We will fix. Go to "Settings", "General settings" => "Theme": clear
Thank you. Malware Protection function may be anti-executable, block run any exe or any executable file (scr, pif, cmd)
The problem here is something else, if you wait enough you'll see a detection but the driver already let it pass. That malware is currently detected but a bug prevents the block.
Yes that is the case, and this is what I'm saying. That function is here but has a bug. We'll fix it.
BETA 14.008 is online: https://www.adlice.com/introducing-roguekiller-14/ @liba this fixes the issue you have reported.
The same problem. "Roguekiller malware protection" did not warn me. Malware executed my system. https://i.imgsafe.org/98/9823a2b2e5.jpeg
@liba I'm confused, you post a picture of a scan, not real time protection... Is it a VM ? Is so, can you run the sample to see if blocked ? (Don't do this on your real machine) EDIT: You should have this
Another question, what is your operating system ? The protection is NOT supported on XP/Vista, I forgot to mention it.
