Well only time will tell what, if any, explanation they will spit out on Tuesday. I'm sure it will be worth the 4 month downtime of the payment system.

I would guess that Sophos doesn't want to develop/support Sandboxie further because it doesn't make them any/enough money. They may want to sell the rights to develop/sell Sandboxie to another company (with transfer of some staff) but have been unable to close a deal yet. It won't have anything to do with the server issue.

This did occur to me in passing also, a while back, especially since Sophos has now said this is a non-technical issue. If it was strictly a technical issue, it would have been resolved long ago, the same day the server thing happened, most likely.

They would postpone their announcement, again? Imagine my shock!

Is anyone able to get to the Sophos/Sandboxie forum without signing in now? I can get there via a Google search for a specific post, but it seems to want me to sign in before I can access it otherwise (eg putting 'Sandboxie forums' in Google and clicking on result)

Same for me, stapp. I was asked to sign in with my Sophos ID.

    Thanks for confirming.
I have a Sophos ID too but I wonder why this change has been made since yesterday (I could speculate as things are a bit weird there at the moment :))

Yes, we live in an imperfect world, and some software companies seem to have taken it upon themselves to demonstrate that fact more so than others. :)

No, stapp, that link opens for me as it should. So it's for some and not for others. Odd.

Well, it's Friday, three days after we were, in essence, promised some sort of update on the future of Sandboxie. I looked on the forum just now as a visitor and no official word still. Right or wrong, it's enough for me as a consumer to turn away from Sophos products in general. HitmanPro in particular. Whatever issue is enforcing this silence must be really serious. Wish they'd just be done with it already.

Hello, Ronen? This is Sophos, again. Did you get our last message? Please get back to us. We'd really like to hand this baby back to you!
