Effectively they do as, in the blog linked to above, it shows you can set audio to "Play Only in Active Tab". To do this, go to Settings>Tabs>Tab Features>Mute Tab Audio and choose your preferred option ~ it's easy enough to reverse or change this if you want to. The current tab can be muted if you don't like whatever sounds it's making; just right click on the tab title and select "Mute Tab".

I think you misunderstand me. What I want is that audio keeps playing in only a certain tab, even when it's not active. So let's say I listen to some song on YouTube, I want to be able to navigate to other sites (from YouTube or not) and audio should be muted on these sites.

@Rasheed187 I misunderstood your meaning, but I don't think you explained originally exactly what it was that you wanted
It looks like it as you can see in the following reports:
    How we count our users
They said "Starting with the upcoming Stable release, we will change the way we count our users, gradually dropping the use of the unique ID for user counting."
Vivaldi to stop using unique user IDs in upcoming versions of the browser

When I click the username field to sign-in on any website, Vivaldi shows the names/emails used on different websites, how to stop Vivaldi showing these details? I have disabled save passwords and autofill.

    Went here in address bar..
    chrome://settings/search#pass
    Scrolled down to Advanced.
Scrolled down to Clear browsing data (there is an Advanced tab there as well)

Let us know if it works.

It will just clear the browsing data. I meant Vivaldi shouldn't save the names/emails used on websites.

On Windows10-1809 I just downloaded Vivaldi 2.7.1628.30 from Vivaldi site.
Towards the end of installation WindowsDefender issued an alert about "Adware:JS/InjectorAd.A" in default cache for "f_000007" file and quarantined it. It appears that files f...1 through 6 did get installed. This surprised me very much since old Opera was always clean and I assumed that Vivaldi is harmless as well.
What do you, experts, think? Am I OK using Vivaldi or not? Has anyone else got this injector thingie?

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit and OSArmor were silent.
The only reference DuckDuckGo returned for this injector is in Russian unfortunately

Edit: It's really trouble. Everytime I run that newest Vivaldi, Defender alerts and quarantines a file from default\cache. It's new cache, so cleaning cache via CCLeaner was no help. The number changes in each instance. Even every article on a newspaper page. I may have to uninstall this version of Vivaldi. Microsoft does have a blurb about it here:

@act8192 - I have the same version of Vivaldi on my 4 laptops & all run Windows Defender. I updated Vivaldi on all 4 to machines to this latest version a few days ago, via the "check for updates" function within the browser. I did not receive any alerts from Windows Defender and there is nothing in my quarantines. It must be something to do with downloading the installer rather than just running an update. My suggestion would be to make a post on the Vivaldi Forum. They have a section for Windows: https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/32/vivaldi-browser-for-windows

It was an old, unused, extension which contained adware pusher. So Defender was totally correct. Once I deleted that extension, no more alerts.
