On Sunday, Israeli developer ZenGo said a cryptocurrency wallet it rolled out earlier this year will begin supporting Libra. Since Facebook and its 27 partners haven't launched the cryptocurrency, ZenGo is letting users store a test version. The test Libra funds, unlike the version that's coming, don't have any real monetary value.

"Getting to know it early might spark some new ideas and give you a head start for when Libra becomes truly operational," ZenGo said in a blog post.
The wallet also lets you buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance Coin with your credit card or Apple Pay.

ZenGo, which plans to release an app for Android phones, said that users can create their digital wallet by downloading the app and providing their email. You also don't need a private key, and ZenGo users scan their face to backup their wallet. ZenGo said it's a "noncustodial" wallet for Libra, which means you have full control over your funds instead of having to rely on a third-party.

PIVX, who implemented an advanced version of the “Zerocoin Protocol”, published a reply on August 13 addressing Lunar Digital Assets‘ claims. The company said there had been no resurgence of attacks on its proof-of-stake (PoS) algorithm. Neither PIVX’s nor its clients’ funds are at any risk they say.

“The author of the article was informed of the investigation by PIVX, but chose to jump to false conclusions instead of waiting for the proper response.”

He further noted that this bug was purportedly fixed by PIVX back in January but believed it’s used again. Han Yoon also claimed that PIVX was aware of the exploit but was sweeping the issue under the carpet.

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced today that it will launch an open blockchain project called Venus to develop regional stablecoins pegged to fiat currencies (or traditional currencies usually issued and backed by a government).
Based in Malta, Binance launched its decentralized trading service, Binance Chain, earlier this year, and since then has issued stablecoins pegged to Bitcoin and the British pound.

In its English-language announcement, Binance said Venus’ goal is “to empower developed and developing countries to spur new currencies,” but did not mention Libra, Facebook’s cryptocurrency project. In the Chinese-language version of its announcement, however, Binance went into more detail, stating that Venus is intended to be an “independent and autonomous, regional version of Libra.”

Allaire further commented around some causes for the volatility of the Bitcoin and said:

“Obviously, Bitcoin is up over 100%, almost 200% over the past 9 months or so, that’s a place to take some gains as well. Depending on the type of holder, so to speak, you’re going to see slightly different behaviors during these market moves.”
It’s not the first time that Allaire discusses Bitcoin as a safe haven for investors. Earlier this month, the Circle CEO told CNBC the same thing.

I wish journalists/reporters would take the stance that any person claiming the identity provide a SIGNED (by the huge known BTC address) note, OR refuse to even mention their name let alone an article or other worthless claims. Can't SIGN you are NOT Satoshi Nakamoto -------- PERIOD. That is how the math works, pure and simple.
