    My understanding is Microsoft is now bundling the service stack update within the cumulative update. The cumulative update just runs the service stack update first.

    Ah, that would explain it. I'm on my other machine now which does have Secure Boot and there is no separate service stack update on it either.

    Hi itman. The Service stack update is separate from the Cumulative update. It doesn't appear under Updates in Settings but it does appear in Updates in Control panel (look at picture):

    This months Service stack is KB4509096, you can see in the picture that it is a separate update. I think it runs and installs before the Cumulative update is installed.

    Not so! KB4505903 was offered to 3 machines here without manually checking for updates.
