I wouldn't expect less tracking, but from different companies. 1. I think most people would see this as creepy. 2. These companies track because they want to server ads for users. Fun fact: these companies don't want to show ads next to controversial content. That's why a lot of Youtube videos and whole channels were demonetized. At least they claim that is a reasoning behind demonetization decisions. That's why ads on porn sites are served by different ad networks than rest of the Web.
What do you mean by this? I don't see why blocking 3rd-party requests by default shouldn't work in the future anymore.
It is amazing to watch the trackers being reported by the DuckDuckGo Essentials addon in my FF. I use DDG as my search engine and have enabled the "Essentials" addon for my casual FF browser behind a one hop VPN for home use. Some of these big companies try to use trackers in places you wouldn't imagine they would. Its virtually universal in application. Using TOR and several VPN hops when coming here, and similar - its a non factor since the circuit is designed to blow all that cr** away.
