I haven't had any problems with patching right away for a couple of years. At work we have recently had patching issues. Problem seems to be that microsoft release a patch which causes issues we wait then they fix it but we then deploy the dodgy patch which is quite ironic considering they are trying to be behind to avoid problems.

Installed KB4503864 and KB4494174 successfully, as well as the service pack KB4504369 that I had already installed from before, however KB4501371 (version 592) keeps failing with "we couldn't complete the updates, undoing changes" that hasn't happened to me since months, maybe it's time to clean install 1903, some day when I feel like it :D

Just forced Windows updates and KB4503293 installed, again? Didn't ask for a restart, either. What to do, uninstall? Guess I'll wait for more experienced people to shed some light. Running disk cleanup anyway right now and it's not showing up in the list. :cautious:

Let it be. I had the same thing happen with no ill effects. WU will sort it eventually.

OK, I leave it alone, then. Thank you, ronjor.

    ==========

I would advise to read the discussion at Woody's and to read the KB-articles related to your system.
Most likely those patches will be included in the July Patch Tuesday updates. We will have to see and wait for that.

The situation for those who use Security Only updates (like me) might be different. I'm not yet sure about this ...

IE11 updates are cumulative, so you might expect the patch to be included in the IE11 July Cumulative.
I may try this IE11 patch because (in some way) I'm having some issues with IE11 since the June Cumulative. I'll have to decide...

    You're welcome!
Did it fix your problem? I assume it was that problem with Event Viewer; am I right here?
Another question: do I remember me right that you're using the Monthly Quality Rollups and not the Security Only updates on Win-7?

Installed both the Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer 11 KB4508646 and the Update for Windows 7 SP1 and Server 2008 R2 SP1 KB4508772 on Win7 Pro 64-bit.
(I'm usually doing the Security Only updates).
So far so good. I could have waited but was curious and usually don't wait too long with MS updates. Let's see what the coming days will tell.

Yes it has fixed my Event Viewer problem.
Yes I use Monthly Quality Rollups and not Security Only on my Windows 7 installation.

I also installed update on my Windows 8.1 at my work and it solved the same problem also.

Aaaaaaand 593 failed, oh well, not surprising considering 592 failed :D

No surprise occurred in my case too - the 593 installed flawlessly. ;-)

    Win10 x64 1903

I checked for updates and only found .Net Framework update KB4502584. After a system restart I seen KB4501375 waiting to be installed. Installed that and another restart and the same KB was waiting, but clicking Install initiated another check for updates. This time it said I was up to date.

    Yip, +1, on two laptops.

On another, both were offered simultaneously, but as separate downloads ...
