I have the latest CCleaner and do not have Easy Clean. My guess is because I blocked the installer, CCleaner and its Emergency Updater from accessing the net.
It seems that "Easy Cleaner is just in the Pro version not the free version.", like said by 'ilev' poster in the link in first post from anon.
Easy Cleaner is in the Free version. Seen it with my own eyes https://www.ccleaner.com/news/blog/...g-easy-clean-our-new-simplified-cleaning-flow
I'm in Pro and I don't have the Easy Clean option either. So what? That means the Easy Clean option don't exist?
I have the Easy Clean option in my install of Ccleaner Free as well. I don't know why some have it and others don't. I looked through the settings to see if it could be toggled, but didn't find anything.
My guess is that the portable editions do not have Easy Clean. I'm using non-portable free version and do have Easy Clean. If so, this would kinda make sense -- the portable version is foremost aimed at pro users in a business environment so that it can be installed on a USB stick and used on various hardware. Easy Clean seems more aimed at the typical home user.
I'm not using the portable version and as my screenshot above shows, I do not have Easy Clean in the free version.
So this is weird. I have had Easy Clean in the free, non-portable version until a couple of hours ago -- now I don't have it anymore. Weird
Do you allow CCleaner to access the internet? I block that and the Emergency Updater from accessing the internet. Never had Easy Clean here on my machines, as I mentioned previously.
I also prevent it from accessing internet and never got easy clean as an option. It might be related to that.
Fix on the way apparently https://forum.piriform.com/topic/54...-easy-clean-mode/?tab=comments#comment-306574
The easy clean screen is not very helpful. If I leave Firefox open and don't allow CC to close FF, it finds 2 trackers, If I let it close FF, it finds 1052 trackers. Seems a bit much to me and you really can't tell what it means by trackers and what it's going to delete. The custom cleaner screen lets you see what's going to deleted which is more to my likes. What Easy Clean calls trackers is actually cookies and had I let Easy Clean run, I'm not sure if the CC Cookies to Keep would have been deleted or not, but I didn't want to chance it on the fly.
