Running Chrome Portable here on Win. 7 64bit system with Sandboxie 5.30 64bit also. Auto delete is completely deleting Sandboxie using Eraser 5.7 in about 1min. and 2 to 10 secs. Firefox on the other hand deletes same in less than half that time with the same auto delete settings.

Hi Mantra. Supposedly, right now, installing programs in a sandbox (In W10) can give issues. So, don't be surprised if some programs install fine in the sandbox and some don't. What you experienced (program install OK outside the sandbox, but not sandboxed), is something to be expected with some programs. The programs I install sandboxed (Irfan view and Flash) install sandboxed just fine but this can be considered pretty simple programs (my guess).

Totally agree. Personally, I didn't see the reports, posted here at Wilders this past weekend, about licensing issues as complains but rightful grievances. If I had experienced the same issue, despite knowing that nothing was going to be done during the weekend, I would have been angry.

Whats funny though, is that the guy who complained about the members and their grievances is a member of the all time top 3 complainers list at the Sandboxie forum :D. Oh well.

I guess when you like something, you want it to be as perfect as it can, so you are harder on it. If you don't care, you won't complain at all about it. At least, this is how i behave. :p
    Not sure for others.

When we report issues, we help the software, and ourselfs. So, if we appreciate Sandboxie, we should report issues. What I have a problem with is when someone reports the same issue over and over, year after year. Thats nagging. Specially when the issue is regarding a particular piece of software not working with Sandboxie. I mean, after a while, everyone who uses Sandboxie (this applies to any software) should come to terms with the notion that not every software is gonna work with Sandboxie. If someones favorite software has historically not gotten along with SBIE over the years, it didn't work with SBIE in 2012, 2013, or 2014, and you complained about it. Why keep complaining in the years after. If your favorite software didn't work sandboxed in 2012/2014, very likely its not gonna ever work sandboxed.

Sandboxie is a restrictive software, it doesn't allow software that runs or is installed sandboxed to do everything it wants, I believe we should understand and accept that, and some software wants to do more than Sandboxie is willing to allow, when it does that, compatibility breaks. What do we want? a weaker Sandboxie? I dont. Sandboxie could be made so every software runs in the sandbox, but big holes would have to be open.

Last. Opinion. Sandboxie is not perfect and will never be perfect.

Thanks guys. If the auto-delete failure continues on a regular basis, I'll follow your suggestion. :thumb:

@bo elam i agree with you, if a particular software does not work, you have 2 choices : find a replacement that works sandboxi-ed or move on and use another sandbox.

    BTW, what is the software?

Hi Mantra. The acknowledged by Invincea/known issue is in Windows 10 1809 (as far as I remember, no other system. We don't have the real forum to refresh our memory so I cant confirm what I remember :D). Are you using W10 1809?

that's why one should use vm instead. every sw that works under your choice of os, be it windows or mac os or linux, will work under vm too.

again, use a vm and there'll be no "restrictions", "holes", "compatibility breaks" or whatsoever.

a vm is just as "flawless" or "flawed" as your host os. your host os is the limit.

I think there should be user choice mentioned here imdb.

Sandboxie suits the way I use my machine and I prefer it to a VM.... just my preference :)

Has Barb or anyone else ever given a straight, definitive answer to the question as to whether the full, original forum will ever be reinstated? The loss of that resource is painful.

No, I haven't seen any straight answer regarding the future of the forum. All answers regarding the forum are very loose.
