    I believe it's more about what elements people consider to be private or not.

    Those posting selfies (or vids) all the time on Facebook or other social networks won't mind much about devices with cameras in their house.

    For example I don't care too much about telemetry or whatever from Google or others companies. What they will do with them against me? Nothing at all.

    For sites , I use one or two extensions to make random noise.

    However, what I consider private are my sensitive files/docs.
